How did your dog make out, Set?
Pining for the fjords, I'm afraid.
He had five more strokes the next morning, pretty much every hour, on the hour, and that was even after taking anti-convulsive medicine.
I'm beginning to see the attraction to having goldfish as pets. Oh, he's belly up? Flush. Five dollars later we've got a new goldfish.

No game for me today. There's too much going on at work for me to get out on time tonight. If you guys want to meet up and possibly play something you are more than welcome to.
We should also discuss the possibility of moving the game to the greater Nashua area if possible. I believe most of us live in the Nashua area. We talked about the Comic store, but I think they wanted money. Anyone have a house or apartment that could host the lot of us?

Yeah I was the one who called the comic store. He would need money because he'd have to pay a guy to keep the store open late.
The other thing I suggested was Relentless Dragon, and everyone balked at the idea because it is not a "nice" game store like Double Midnite. It's the kind of game store that gives game stores a bad name. The first couple times I went in I had to just leave without buying anything eventually because I couldn't find anyone that would acknowledge me or demonstrate in any way that they worked there and weren't just hanging out. There is a lot of MtG there and a young crowd.
I get why you guys object to all that but I mention it again for a couple reasons.
*Open really late.
*New management Erika is eager to accomodate us.
*Steps away from Set and the Red Goblin.
*Shaves a full 20 minutes off of my commute each way.
I didn't want to press the point earlier because everyone seemed happy with Double Midnite but since you bring up Nashua I'll mention it again.
On the downside we might risk loosing our most valued party member Midnite the Pink Wolf before he even gets a chance to botch his -3 will save vs dominate from some 2nd level adept and massacre all of us.

I walked by on the way to lunch today and noticed that the sign says that they are only open until 7 PM on Tuesdays, but that might be a flexible thing if you know the boss-lady (or one of those 'honored in the breach' things that doesn't apply, since they hang out playing Magic until all hours anyway).
I'm really not that bothered by the condition of the store. The front room of Double Midnight is really nice and professional looking, but the back room we end up in is pretty much just a bunch of crammed together tables and chairs, which is not any great upgrade from the bunch of crammed together tables and chairs in the back of the Relentless Dragon...
About the only downside would be for them, since, unlike Double Midnight, they don't really have anything at the Relentless Dragon that we'd be tempted to spend money on.

I just had a chance to pick new days off (any two days I wanted, even!), and went with Mon/Tues, so as not to mess with our schedule (and give myself consecutive days off). So, for the next year or so, it's Mon/Tues for me. (Or mid-day during the weekends, since I don't have to be to work till 7 PM.)

Guys, it's with a heavy heart I have to do this but.....
I have to drop from the current game/DM role. I thought I could handle running/attending the adventure if it was premade and familiar. But, I just can't swing the ride to Manchester and the prep-time needed. My life is a bit full at the moment with the new baby, work, school, and a side project we've been working on.
If we can find a place a bit closer to Nashua I would be able to continue on as a player, but I don't think I can run a game all the way up in Manchester.
I'm terribly sorry guys. I hope you all continue on and play something even if I'm not able to attend. If we want to try and work something out, let's discuss it here.

Yeah, no sweat.
For the future, I say: Grimmy, get a hold of the Relentless Dragon people and plan something around there. December is a heavy month for me, so I can't DM anytime soon, but would be happy to run a one- or two-shot come January.
In the meantime, I am still able to play if anyone else has the cojones to step up.

Ok I saw this a bit late so I haven't called Relentless Dragon but last time I called, when we first started this game and settled on Double Midnite, they said they'd love to have us and pay no mind to the posted close time of seven PM on Tuesday's. They said they're actually there much later.
Now I normally am a DM first but I was really looking forward to getting some time on the other side of the screen because I thought it was what I needed to make me a better DM. I'm not sure I'm up for running a whole Paizo AP. I usually prefer to run 3rd party stuff and homebrew. Frog God Games, Kobold Press/ Open Design, and lately Raging Swan are my favorites. I'm afraid my strengths as a DM don't really play to the tastes of this group, because I favor a sandboxy approach with a lot of dungeon crawling and lethal encounters. I was hoping being a player in an AP would give me a perspective on the other side I'm lacking in, which is plot-driven stuff with rich NPC's to interact with. Maybe if we move to RD in Nashua Playdoh can stay in that DM role? That would be my favorite outcome.

Not Carrion Crown but ...
I will be running some PFS games at Double Midnight this Saturday Dec-15.
Check out this post for more information. If you are interested, be sure to sign up as we must have 3 players to run.

Okay, so I've been thinking about D&D again and I was wondering:
What are youse guys's weekend schedules?
If people are available noonish (or even earlier) on either Saturday or Sunday, I might be persuaded to run a game.
I also had this other thought: If we all got accredited (or whatever) as PFS GMs we could swap out GM-ing duties and run PFS scenarios for each other.
What do you guys think?
