I am looking for a player or two in New Hampshire to take on the Carrion Crown adventure path.

We play on Saturdary nights in Goffstown, NH (about 15 minutes west of Manchester).

I think we're going to start about two weekends from now.

We're all in our mid-30s, but don't let that fool you: we're terribly immature.

Also, I'm much nicer than my posts might indicate!

I wish I lived closer so I could play. Newton MA is a little bit too far unfortuately.

I wish you did, too.

Spoiler:
You still can't have New England, by the way.

Hey, I'm from Nashua NH. My group is currently playing on Fridays, Carrion Crown. Unfortunately, 2 of the members of the group may be moving to Ohio soon. Therefore a few of us may be looking for another group.

It's always nice to meet fellow NH RPGers.

I'm in Merrimack! Yay NH!

Let me know if you want to play. I pretty much hang out in the Off-Topic forums everyday (not something I should brag about, I know...).

EDIT: How far into the AP is your group?

I'm on the other side of the state from you all (near Keene) and I'm fortunate enough to be in a Carrion Crown group as well. We only get to play about once a month though. It's too bad that the south side of the state is so large!

I would love to hear how that game goes though.

movie plot spoiler:
Ah I did call New England first. I did offer up you a Barony perhaps baron of New Hampshire reporting to the Count of New England

I'm also in Nashua.

Probably can't get in on any gaming at the moment, but just wanted to express my NH gamer solidarity!

Weed, guns and axes

We don't pay our taxes
'Cos we don't exist
On any government list

Our battle cry?
Live free or die!

Ahem.

So, Carrion Crown anyone?

Our group is just about to finish the second book.

Cool.

Are you loving it?

It's a good adventure path so far. Much better than Serpent's Skull, which we abandoned.

How is your game going thus far? Have you started it yet?

Like I said, my group may be somewhat disbanding soon. So I'll certainly be looking for another adventure.

We haven't started CC yet. One of the guys went on vacation, so I think we'll be starting two weekends from now (not from before, like I earlier said).

Our group fell apart recently due to moves and marriages and we're still coalescing a new core. We've picked up a new player and there's rumor of another one on the wind, but we'll see.

Just shoot me a line when you need a game.

I'm going to keep bumping this thread and see if anyone else pops up.

Any more NH Paizonians?

Merrimack.. mid 30's .. wouldn't happen to know of Red Ben Stringer, would ya?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

A fellow Merrimackian! Holy shiznit!

But, no, doesn't ring a bell.

Are you a homegrown or a recent transplant?

no neither .. I'm in Ohio. I went to college with Ben and he is from Merrimack. Best DM I've ever had, but lost touch him. He should be around 36..37 and sounds like the crowd you run with.

No, sorry, I don't know him.

Where in Ohio are you? I have a cousin in Columbus who's a big gamer.

I'm east of Cleveland. Right on the sunny beaches of Lake Erie. About 3 hours from Columbus. I've got a good group at the moment, I was just searching in gamer connect for one or 2 more. Astral's mention of ohio brought me to this thread right above your post
... but yea if you ever come across a red head that claims to be able to generate random numbers in his head...ask him to DM for you!

Will do, thanks!

Nashua NH here as well, been gaming since 83.
40 years old, but since you're all in your mid-30s, at least I won't be getting called "Dad" or worse...

Been stuck DM-ing mostly, but looking to get into some actual games as a player. (Always willing to put on the DM hat tho!)

Only bad news is I work 2nd shift. 2pm-11pm Mon-Fri. I have Sat and Sun. but that's about it.

Best of all, I bathe regularly, brush my teef, am under 200 lbs. and usually bring snacks and (when allowed) BEER.

I also live in Merrimack. My wife and I have been looking for a local group to play with. We're both mid 30s as well.

Hello, hello!

Well, I have to doublecheck with my group, but it looks like we're going to start the Carrion Crown this Saturday night!

We'll be playing in Goffstown. I don't want to say a time, because I'm not yet sure, but probably in the evening.

Anyone interested give a holler!

Hiya,
I am interested if games are being held saturday nights. I shot you an email with some contact info. Hopefully you still have room.

I've also played/GM'ed for all editions of Dungeons and Dragons (mostly 1st and 2nd ed), OWoD (mostly Vampire the Masquerade and Dark Ages), NWoD (mostly Requiem, World of Darkness, Hunter and Changeling), Legend of Five Rings and Pathfinder.

Shoot me an email at lordfeint@yahoo.com if you have any questions, etc.

Always on the lookout for a new game!

Okay, well, tenatively we're playing this Saturday night in Goffstown around 6.

I'm inclined to just invite everybody and see what happens. Maybe make the first night more of a meet-n-greet and make characters than an actual game.

I'll post again tomorrow, after the plans have been bolted down.

In the meantime, you can download the Player's Guide to Carrion Crown for free in the Carrion Crown forum and think about what you want to play. I'm feeling charitable and saying that if it's a rule in a Golarion book you can play it. But if it's wicked complicated and slows down gameplay, I reserve the right to be haughty and dislike your character.

Using Point Buy or rolling stats?
Any traits? 1+ a Carrion Crown trait or 2+?
Was thinking a Human Paladin of Saranrae. Scimitar and Shield build. High AC for up close action.
Or a Half Elf Paladin of Erastil who uses a Composite Longbow.

Well, my friends aren't returning my calls today, so I can't totally confirm yet, so we're stuck at tentatively at 6.

@Lordfeint--I'm advising everybody to wait until the night to make their characters, but you can certainly go ahead and sketch your ideas out.

As for your specific questions: we're rolling for stats and as for traits 1 + a Carrion Crown one. Any that are logical for your character are fine.

So, I've sent address and phone number info to Lordfeint and Darkrite. If you don't get them, speak up!

Hey Doodle,

How is the game going? Would you mind sending an email to astralplaydoh (at) hotmail.com .

Thanks!
Chris

Newbie here to the forums. Just warning you ahead of time.

If your still looking please let me know. I just moved to Manchester about a month ago and I'm desperately looking for a new group of gamers to play with. I will, sadly, admit that I haven't had time to brush up on all the new Pathfinder things that have been released since April but I am more than willing to put forth the time and effort if there is a group willing to take a new player under their wing.

I look forward to hearing from you Doodle, or anyone else for that matter, in regards to this.

Hello PP!

If you want to play in our game, that's fine with us! Don't worry about the latest permutations--we hardly know any of the rules, anyway.

We play in Goffstown around 6:00 on Saturday nights. We're aiming at weekly and, so far, played 3 times in 4 weeks.

We're only three sessions into The Haunting of Harrowstone, and the characters just levelled up. Now's as good a time to join as any!

For more info, email me at: msgath@hotmail.com

In the meantime, there is a free download in the Carrion Crown Adventure Path area called Player's Guide to Carrion Crown, or something like that. It gives you some hints about the campaign and sets some of the aimed for tone. I say "aimed for" because my players just run around and do whatever they want and laugh at everything...

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hey Doodle! Thread resurrection! How is your Carrion Crown game going? We abandoned the game after the 2nd book. A few of us are now running a homebrew Pathfinder game. We're hoping to pick up Rise of the Runelords once the Anniversary Edition comes out.

Well, hello!

It's going okay. They just finished getting attacked by ghasts in the ruins of Sanctuary.

Did you get involved in PFS play?

Bumpity bump.

Also, I was driving down 101A this morning behind a blueish Ford Escape that had a bumper sticker that read: I played D&D before it was cool.

Anyone on here?

I played one game with Don and some others one Saturday at the Games Castle. We currently have a group that plays in the greater Nashua area. It's a homebrew setting using Pathfinder E6 rules. However, we are likely to switch to Rise of the Runelords once the anniversary edition is out.

Glad to hear that your group is still going strong.

One Saturday a month, there's some Pathfinder going on at the Comic Store (which is now up on Northeastern Blvd, off of exit 5). They generally post game events of that sort on their Facebook page.

Last one was 3/24, so it might be again this next Saturday.

Ooh. My Carrion Crown for tomorrow night is cancelled. Maybe I'll check it out. Although I don't have a PFS character. Yet.

It's bullshiznit that they're not still in the Simoneau Plaza. They were there forever!

Nothing announced for this Saturday, so it's probably gonna be next Saturday. (If it hasn't already happened this month and I just missed the announcement...)

Yeah, I preferred that location. Still, the new location has gaming space, so that's a plus!

Bump to find NH gamers.

Set pointed me to this thread via PM.

Oh, my beautiful New Hampshire thread!

Hello, Grimmy! We never met at the con. :(

I'm afraid, though, that my game is full. :(

Where are all the other NH gamers?!?

Working nights, and not having much opportunity for tabletop gaming, in my case.

I miss it, but having money for rent and food is also nice. :)

Working nights sucks!

I'm definitely giving it up next year.

But who can help Grimmy out?

Dark Archive

We are around. Playing Slumbering Tsar right now. Our group just started playing at Double Midnight Comics in Manchester. Great shop with a fair amount of game space.

Ah man. Sounds like my kind of group. I would love to join you for Tsar but unfortunately I have already read almost 2/3's of it.

Tried running it for a group that didn't seem to like the lethality.
