Guns, touch attacks and damage reduction

If this has been addressed elsewhere, I missed it and apologize.

When a gun makes a ranged touch attack (such as from point blank range or augmented with grit) does damage reduction from armor still apply?

I'm specifically thinking of adamantine armor, but other examples may apply.

guns are affected by dr, they are physical attacks. the core rules assume alll touch attacks are spells.

basically guns attack the touch ac rather than outright being touch attacks so armor applies.

Its more or less that you're punching a hole through the armor with the shot, you're still contacting the armor, so the Armor's special properties would still take effect.
