a dragon with class levels in Inquisitor, can he use Bane on his natural weapons?

Lantern Lodge

I know Ultimate combat just came out with a feat to bane TWF "You can apply your bane to a second weapon you are wielding."

can an Inquisitor bane a natural weapon like a claw or bite. OR would he HAVE to be shape changed and use a manufactured weapon?

Nothing in the Bane ability states it has to be a manufactured weapon, I imagine an Inquisitor who uses fists (IUA) could use bane on his hands as well.

The bane is lost if the weapon is dropped or taken. I'd allow it to function as the strike, but remember the bane is applied to the weapon, not the inquisitor. He will lose it's use unless he recovers the weapon before it expires.

There is no RAW support for baneing natural weapons. The class is intended for monster hunters, not monsters themselves.

Ah, but since by now it has become quite easy to have natural attacks of your own, even if you are a monster hurter, the question still stands.

Shadow Lodge

As far as I know there is nothing to prevent you from using bane with natural weapons. It would be limited to one attack though. So for example the dragon's bite attack.

The whole point of Dual Bane was to help out the TWF inquisitors, but there is no reason it can't apply to two claws also.

Inquisitor dragons with human (or elf, or dwarf, or whatever) bane claw bite?

yeouch.

Now those are the things Adventurer nightmares are made of :)

Gotta say I'm not a huge fan of dragons with class levels. Generally the best way to bump a dragon is just upping the age category.

The Exchange

Or a Dragon Level dipping in Monk and Inquisitor.....

this specifically was for a gestalt game. HD advancement will not happen, the character will be a very young dragon for his entire career.

Thanks for all the input everyone.
