Perth is a lovely city - Mediterranean climate, lots of money coming in from the mining boom, great beaches and wines.
Rugby is not the main game there - Australian Rules football is, but there is an ok Rugby Union team the Western Force for the Super 14's.
Perth is far away from other population centres it can be at times cheaper to fly to Indonesia than Sydney or Melbourne.
Western Australia is crying out for workers because of the mining resource industries are cant fill their requirements.
