Monk [of the 4 winds] Elemental Fist frequency limit

The APG says
"... You may attempt an elemental fist attack once per day for every four levels you have attained (see Special), and no more than once per round.
Special: ... A monk may attempt an Elemental Fist attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk."

This implies that a monk is not limited to "and no more than once per round". It is ambiguous -- please clarify?

If the 1/round limit applies to monks as well, please include the phrase to the Special section to eliminate the ambiguity.

Second, is this rule also true for PFS play?

It also does not counter act the statement in the main feat description. It only changes the number of times per day, and not the number of times per round.

So, the monk of the 4 winds can still only try it once per round, but does get more times that they can use it per day.

No reason it wouldn't be, subject to whatever rules PFS might have on recharging daily powers.

As I said, I fail to see the ambiguity.

Part one of the sentence states this:

then you check special which states this:

Quote:

A monk may attempt an Elemental Fist attack a number of times per day equal to his monk level, plus one more time per day for every four levels he has in classes other than monk.

which changes how many times a day the monk can do this.

Then you continue with the rest of the sentence:

Quote:

and no more than once per round.

Can you show or bold the area that changes that last part of the sentence?

This is the exact same wording as the Stunning fist feat in the core book.

Happler's got it. This is in no way ambiguous, and there is no reason for Paizo to add an extra line of text to completely duplicate a feat because monk's get one special caveat.

It specifically calls out using it no more than once per round. The special section should not have to repeat this.
