Anyway to make a viable Barbazu beard black blade magus?

i just realized Barbazu beard is a light slashing weapon, and is therefor eligible to be a magus' black blade.

Maggy the Blackbeard... Will it work? is it worth it?

Using a barbazu beard provokes an attack of opportunity, and holds all the dangers of attack with an unarmed strike. It also isn't a weapon wielding in one hand, so it would screw Spell Combat unless you hadd another melee weapon (in which case, you'd be better off just using that). I can't think of any way to make it to make it effective, or even viable, unless I'm totally missing something.

thats the problem i'm having. i like the concept, but its not really worth it on any level.

actually a blade bound (beard) staff magus could work. maybe even throw in hex caster
