Class Documents

After seeing how the basic set is being designed, I've decided to do something similar for classes.

The idea: Put all rules and options that specifically pertain to a class in a single document (Including spells from spell lists, etc). It should cut down on number of books you carry to game, as well as search time, because there won't be anything that says "see this book, page xx" all of your class stuff will be listed in *THIS* book.

So...

I picked the witch as a starting point (just because I've never played one and they seemed interesting)

Can I get a list of official (and unofficial if you like too) sources that have more options for the witch? So far I've got everything from the APG and Ultimate Magic in the document, as well as the base familiars list, and all of the spells.

So already I have a 10 page document that's all the stuff you need to play a witch. I'd just like to have it fleshed out and fully compiled.

If we could mark the Golarion and 3pp stuff separately, that would be good. And if any of the abilities aren't ogc, and you notice in advance, let me know.

I'll upload the docs here as I complete them.

Nobody has any other sources of Witch stuff? What about modules, or setting books, o anything like that?

Nope, sorry, but I know for FIghters the Qadira handbook has the Dawnflower Dervish.

Lol,I'm going to suck at this.

i like this especially in pdf form since several of my player have smart devices that can read pdf files.

That was the idea. I was thinking a .doc file, but I can easily save that as a pdf too.

Can we start making Lists? I don't have all the books/pdfs, but I have quite a few, and I know alot of pathfinder players to borrow from. People can put the options up here that are OGC too.

Fighter
Core
APG
Qadira Handbook

Hey Guys. The witch isn't done yet, but this should give you a better Idea what I'm doing.

It's missing the full Writeups for each familiar, asf rules, bonus spell rules, and the list of spells that should go at the back. It's also only made out of the Core, APG and UM - if there are other sources of witch info, I haven't included them yet. When its done I need to add a credits page and an OGL page.

What do you think?

Alright, here goes my attempt on the fighter.

Core
APG
ISWG
Qadira Handbook

And for the Witch:
APG
UM
ISWG(A spell or two)
Gamemastery COndition Cards(Soothing Touch Spell)
Campaign Setting:Rival Guide

That's it for the witch.

Thanks Sphar, I totally forgot about the condition cards.

What did you think of the pdf? anything wrong with what I'm including? any suggestions for things I didn't include that I should be? I'm a little unsure on including the bonus spells, but it gets referred to enough that I'm thinking all spellcaster classes should have it.

Should I be including the favored class options? Or should I leave those out, and add them to race documents when I get around to those?

I don't have a list, but searching a site like d20pfsrd.com might help you out with options hiding in some more obscure source. And, they'd likely be interested in hosting the files you come up with.

This is true, I forgot about checking there. good call. They won't have any of the third party stuff listed, or any of the Golarion stuff, but they'll likely have the other sources. Thanks.

Sorry for no updates so far today. I'm gonna try to do some more on the witch, and hopefully finish up at least the basic stuff.

I've got two real projects at the moment. There's these Class Documents, and then there is my Neverwinter Nights Pathfinder Adaptation, to allow me (and anyone else) to play NWN with the Pathfinder Ruleset, Pathfinder Classes, etc. As one might imagine, the game modding is a bit more work than these class documents. We'll see what I get done before I go to bed.

Then I'll start on the fighter. Do I include all of the fighter feats?

Dot?

Anyways; here's an update. Still working on the witch. I underestimated how much work these things are.

Updated Witch PDF

Now has all the Familiars, and I've started on the spells.

After seeing how long this takes, it would be nice if I could get some help with the other classes, otherwise it'll be quite a while before these are done. We'll have the witch done, sure but its looking like it'll take me 5 or 6 days per class at this rate, and its just compiling and editing.

Here's my MS Word Document if anyone wants to use it as a template to take a stab at one of the other classes.

The Archives of Nethys have a whole slew of content taken directly from the content you're looking for, the website can be found here:

Furthermore, the SRD actually does have a good deal of 3rd party stuff, but I would actually recomend against incorporating any of that into the documents, since that would bog down people by creating larger than necessary documents that must be waded through. Especially if folks have no interest in using the new mechanics/what have you presented by 3PP.

Just out of curiosity... what makes you think we wouldn't have 3pp or Golarion stuff? We have tons of that kind of content.

Oh! My mistake. It's been a while since I got to play in a pathfinder game. Last time I did, we used d20pfsrd a fair bit, and I wasn't able to find many of the options that came from the x of golarion books, or the empire books (cheliax, andoran, etc.), and it seemed to be all options from the core, apg, and 2 bestiaries.

I'll try to wrap up the witch document asap. odds are the other classes will have to be tackled by someone else. I'll put up my word doc as well when its finished though. My focus is a bit too divided at the moment, and I have some other projects going that I consider higher priority than the convenience of having my class information in a single document.

Those other projects include:
1. Prepping an NWN Module for an upcoming LAN (the LAN is on the 5th, and the module needs to be updated to account for the latest release of the game (old module) as well as to accomodate the PRC and a D&D 3.5 updater patch.)
2. My Project to Make NWN run Pathfinder instead of a Pseudo D&D 3.0.
3. Converting monsters Paizo can't publish to Pathfinder so I can use them in my home games.
4. Re-fluffing monster entries and changing the pictures for a few monsters that I'm not running the Pathfinder version of on the frequent occasions that I'm running Forgotten Realms

explanation/rant:
due to having some players who refuse to pay attention to this and keep expecting them to look and act like they are described in the Pathfinder Bestiary. Drives me insane. Particularly Goblins and Ogres. I'm ok with goblin players, but in a serious faerun campaign I dont want to see Chumbukkit the big headed goblin who is afraid of the written word, likewise I dont want any more players complaining of ogres who are not rednecks, ogremages who are not oni, and halfogres without mutations. It may not stop them completely, but it should help. and if it doesnt, I'll be telling them to stop ruining my games and leave my house. /rant

5. An unnamed sideproject that will take some work that I hope to release as a PDF when it's done.
