I need a nice short module!

I'm already running my own genuine campaign plus i'm working on reading/preparing the "Carrion crown" series for the start of autumn (october'ish)!

But somehow i volunteer myself to run a one-shot deal game with a bunch of old friends (some of them i see like once or twice a year) in 3 weeks. Honestly i don't have that much time left to come up with something up to the occasion!

So basically i'm looking for a module that would give a group of 4-6 4th. level characters some 6-7 hours of nice/fun playtime.

Any suggestion or some module you already try?

Oh. Damn, never mind.

Carrion Hill might be adjustable, as it's geared towards 5th level characters. There's a race-against-time element involved which could keep things moving, but it's also very investigation oriented which may wind up eating up time anyway.

River Into Darkness is straight up 4th level, but it's a "journey" style adventure that is almost certainly a multisessioner.

Beyond the standard modules, you might have some luck with some of the PFS modules, which are geared towards a small amount of time anyway and could be beefed up a bit past that if need be. I haven't read many of them though, but surely some others will have suggestions.

They are cheap too.

Just remembered: Carnival of Tears. It's also 5th level, but you have a possible large amount of players and it was originally written for 3.5, so running it as is for PF characters might be self-correcting as written.

It's an event-based module that could probably be done in one night, with some of the more tangental encounters stripped out as needed.

It tends towards the horrifying and gruesome side of things though. Dat Nick Logue. ;)

Modifying a Pathfinder Society module is probably still the easiest way to go though, as far as getting it done quickly.
