Wanting to confirm the benefit gained from a gnome ranger's favored class benefit?

If I have read this correctly, this indicates that at ranger level 1, I would gain +1.5 DR/magic? Is this correct?

i think its meant to be dr 1/2 at first level, and dr 1/magic at level 2. so at 20 you end up with dr 10/magic

Yes so round down to a 1 at first level.

At level 1 you'd have DR1, at level 3 you'd have DR2, at level 5 DR3, etc, this is how I am reading it, DR1 at level 1 & 1/2 every level thereafter.
