Movement in Difficult Terrain

Rules Questions

Ok, it costs 10 feet of movement to move 5 feet within difficult terrain, that part is clear. Part that confuses me is this:

Quote:
Each diagonal move into a difficult terrain square counts as 3 squares.

Does that mean that every diagonal move in difficult terrain counts as 15 ft or just when you're entering difficult terrain from normal terrain?

Simple answer: both.
Any movement in a diagonal direction, whether from normal terrain or difficult terrain, costs 3 squares of movement. I'm not sure if that overrides the double cost for every second diagonal, or in addition to.

No matter how you look at it, two squares of diagonal movement will be 30 ft.

Actually, if the double cost is applied to difficult terrain for two consecutive diagonals, then it would be 45 feet for two diagonals in difficult terrain, and 15 feet for two diagonals in 'normal' terrain.

The cost of terrain is always the cost of the square being entered. The diagonal cost of each difficult terrain square is 15 feet. This accounts both for the double cost for difficult terrain and for the double cost of every other diagonal square.

Don't apply double cost on the second diagonal step in difficult terrain. It's already included in the 3 squares as Howie23 says.
