OK, some of you know that I have been playing a Holy Assassin.
Inquisitor 1 (heretic)/ Ninja 5* and he has been working at very well especially with all the skill bonuses he gets. However, in order to make up for not being able to disarm magic traps I am taking Ranger with the Trapper archetype which grants me the Trapfinding ability plus other benefits. I am so far only planning on taking 1 level of this, at least for the moment, so I want to make sure I pick a good favored enemy, one I will run into the most.
I am thinking that Monstrous Humanoid would be a smart move as that can be varied but I would like some suggestion for other picks and arguments for those picks.

Without knowing what AP you're in, if at all, my suggestion is to simply ask your GM.
Typically Undead is a safe choice (but lacks in the skill bonus department for lower levels) and Human is a usually a good choice as well.

Though Human is the obvious choice, I believe that you should take into account the fact that your main source for damage is Sneak Attack.
By choosing as favored enemy a creature which is usually immune to sneak attack (ie, ooze type, elemental subtype, incorporeal subtype), you will be able to still do it some damage.
Ooze seems the simplest choice here. You should check with your DM though, as he is the one who can give you the best advice as to what kind of creatures you will meet.

Talk to your GM. Some retain the nonsense about taking your own race being EVIL(!) and others have similar ideas.
Ahhh my character is a Holy Assassin I don't think that is a problem because it is just business. Also never said my character was a human but he is an Aasimar which is not human.

Many GMs favor human NPCs, so not a bad choice.
If your DM likes to mix things up and draw from all the player races, or favors monsterous baddies to humanoid, human looks much less attractive.
Undead are pretty popular, there are a lot of them in the Bestiary, and some of them are pretty nasty.
The same could be said about Evil Outsider.
After those, believe it or not, Magical Beast takes up more space in the bestiary than any other type.
