read it again it's more powerful then you think.
Twin Soul (Su): At 10th-level, if the witch or her familiar is gravely injured or about to die, the soul of the dying one immediately transfers to the other’s body. The two souls share the surviving body peaceably, can communicate freely, and both retain their ability to think and reason. The host may allow the guest soul to take over the body temporarily or reclaim it as a move action. They can persist in this state indefinitely, or the guest can return to its own body (if available) by touch, transfer into a suitable vessel (such as a clone), or take over another body as if using magic jar (with no receptacle). This replaces the witch’s major hex at 10th-level.
If the witch dies it also switches to the familiars body.
It's an effective get out of death free card with a permanent Magic jar power on top of it for either of them.Take the improved Familiar feat and grab a 10 HD homonculus famillar (only costs 16K gold) and then kill yourself to jump into it's body.
You know have a Permanent flying 10HD + half your HP Construct body with all the construct traits and total control PLUS a backup mind and a free at will possess another body power. I dare something try to stop you.

Mathwei ap Niall,
exactly. It is overpowered even with your normal familiar. At 10th level, you are hoping something kills you or your familiar. I would definitely think this is worth trading for a hex.
It's also poorly worded. It specifically states that there is no receptacle so we have to ask, where does the Magic Jar victims soul go?
Per the spell it goes into the receptacle while the caster takes over the body, but if there is no receptacle does it go nowhere ?
Woot insta-kill any target with a will save at my highest DC.
Also since Magic Jar has a range to it's effect (how far away the host body is from the receptacle it can jump, and if the host body dies further than that from it you die) but since there is no receptacle How close do I have to be from the host body to possess it?
Touch, Line of sight, same planet ? Doesn't say.
edit
@name violation, it would be considered a 10HD creature for effects + it would have half your Hit Points. My shorthand explanations tend to stink.
