I swear that in one of the books, either as a feat, or an archetype, or even as a racial variant that I saw something that if you got a critical, you could instead pass it on to one of your allies, either as a bonus to their confirmation or something. I only remember seeing it once, and I have never seen it again. Am I imagining things or does this really exist?

No, your not imagining things, something like this exists, though I am not sure how close it is to what your thinking. Sadly, I too am unable remember what it is, but I just saw it recently, within like the last week or so...
Ok...now just to get some confirmation from someone who can tell both of us where we saw it. Because I would love to have a keened kukri on my halfling and be able to pass off the crit to my overly muscled halforc buddy with the extremely large greataxe.

Now: Can a rogue use this and get his sneak attack damage, forgoing the critical, and pass it on to his next ally?
Ex: flanking halfling with a kukri needs a 15 to hit, rolls a 19, then confirms with a 16, passes the crit on to the next ally, but rolls his 1d3 + Xd6 for damage. Would that work?

I remember a thread about this being used for a nasty trick. The person who has the buterfly sting has improved crit with a weapon that has a high crit range. That person then passes on the crit to a person who is using a weapon that has a X3 or X4 crit mod like a scythe or Greatsword. It is not a bad strategy but if I remember right there are some timing issues.
