Hello, I have a Halfling Bard who just leved up to 3. I am playing in the Pathfinder Society setting. I would like to clarify the rule on page 35 of the core book on spells per day for Bards. Under spells it says that you should look at the table 3-3 for total amount available for each level and 3-4 for "fixed" amounts of spells. However, there is mention of table 1-3 that talks of your charismas score giving bonus spells.
I would like to know how many I really do get total and can use per day.
Thank you

You look on table 3-3 for your daily spells (3 1st-lvl spells in your case). On table 1-3 you look how many bonus spells per day you get with your charisma score (let's say your halfling has a charisma of 17, which means you get 1 bonus spell per day). You add this to your daily spells resulting in 4 1st-lvl spells you can cast per day.
Tabel 3-4 just tells you how many spells you know.

This is really a rules question, and should be posted in the rules forum, but:
A bard can cast a certain number of spells per day, as shown on Table 3-3. This number can be modified by a high Charisma.
The bard only knows a limited number of spells, which he can select from when he casts. This number is shown on Table 3-4, and is not modified by Charisma.
In this respect, bard magic works similarly to sorceror magic.

Thank you.
And so 0 level spells are in the 4 total per day alotment, correct?
At third level, you know 6 0-level spells. This number is not modified by your charisma score. You can cast these as often as you wish. You also know 4 1st-level spells, also regardless of your charisma. You can cast any of those spells 3 times per day, and that is modified by high charisma. So you may choose to cast Chord of Shards 3x and Cure Light Wounds 1x, if you know both spells and your CHA is 12 or higher.
