What do you think of allowing a Spiked Boot that allows you to make attacks like a Spiked Gauntlet while mounted to still be able to threaten?
Too cheesy to allow? What say you?
I'd probably have issues with this. A rider relies too much on their legs to remain in the saddle. Making leg attacks probably isn't a good idea. That and having spiked footwear isn't going to improve your Handle Animal or Ride scores.

I believe there is a Boot Blade in the Adventurer's Armory that might work in a situation like this.
I would just add some penalties to Ride checks when the blade is extended to make up for not having to deal with the terrain penalties that come with the weapon.

I think loads of spikes all over your armour, and/or all over your footwear is going to translate as bad news for your mount as it gets stabbed repeatedly every time it jumps, rears up, the rider sneezes etc.
So no...
Bad idea.
depends on the mount... if its a construct or a dragon... or a huge worm... what's a couple of spikes on the boots? Heck, if its a mount made of ice you may need the spikes to make sure you stay on. ;-)
But in general, probably a bad idea.

Okay, without jumping to over-the-top ideas (sorry Shifty) and sticking to the idea of what the character wants, I would say that it would be possible as long as it is just a spike at the toe of the boot.
I would, however, increase ride checks to avoid accidently hitting the horse with it. Also, make it damage equal to armor spikes.
