Can a Star Archon Smite Evil with a Meteor Swarm?

Rules Questions

I've noticed that Star Archons have both smite evil and the spell meteor swarm. If the Star Archon REALLY wanted something to die, could it combine smite evil with meteor swarm (via ranged touch attack with the physical meteors)? Of course, only the person hit directly with the meteors would get hit with the smite damage, but it would still be 32d6+80 if all four smite meteors hit.

I wanted to check because while I've heard of rogues getting sneak attack damage with rays I've never heard of paladins doing something similar with rays and their smite.

The basic idea holds -- as to the specifics I'll have to check... it's just the fire damage that gets combined from the meteors right?

Scarab Sages

That's correct. Reading the Paladin description of Smite Evil, the paladin applies his Charisma Modifier to weapon attack rolls, but the bonus damage does not have such a specification. As such, Smite Evil damage applies to any method of dealing damage used by the Smiter.

My Goblin Paladin of Sarenrae used this to great effect to give his fireballs a little extra OOMPH.

Hmm, the fire damage gets combined, but I don't think the bludgeoning damage does. So, I think it would still count as four separate attacks.
