Reincarnation costly material component or costly divine focus?

Rules Questions

From the entry, it seems that the 1000gp in oils is for some reason the divine focus (which would not be consumed on casting). Is there an errata that puts the 1000gp in costly oils beside the 'M' in the components line rather than the after the "DF"? Or am I reading it right, that one vial of the costly oils is enough for all your reincarnating needs?

Components V, S, M, DF (oils worth 1,000 gp)

So, Yes you are reading it correctly, but I would expect it to be changed in an errata. "Material Component: Rare oils and unguents worth a total of least 1,000 gp, spread over the remains." has bee dropped from the bottom of the description of the spell.

I never noticed that one.

But: Divine focus is unlike the focus component not a variable costly matter. The divine focus is determined by who you are, and what you serve, most commonly you holy symbol.
There is no basis for divine focus being specific costly items, so it must be a editorial mistake.

So this is worth FAQ-ing and adding to the errata? =)

Wow - good catch. I assume it's supposed to be a material component and have always played that the oils are consumed in the casting --- but yeah, it doesn't say that anymore -- and that certainly greatly reduces the cost of bringing someone back from the dead.

I suspect, as others, this is just an oversight - but I'll add my "FAQ" to it to hope it gets fixed.
