From 5th through 10th levels, our party relied on a Cleric PC who had the Craft Wondrous Item feat. But then the player retired that Cleric, and brought in an Oracle who does not have that feat. It made sense, however, that my Sorcerer/Bard/Druid would learn his secrets before he left, and at 11th level, she took that feat.
Unfortunately, she had not been keeping up her Spellcraft skill. Currently she has 6 ranks, for a +11 total bonus.
How much effort do you think she should put into building up her Spellcraft ranks? Would it be worth it to take a feat like Skill Focus (Spellcraft).
Currently, she is a 1st level Sorcerer/6th level Bard/4th level Druid. Her Intelligence is 14, Wisdom is 16, and Charisma is 18.

Personally, I'd put the maximum possible ranks in spellcraft. With 6 bard levels, you should already have good bonuses to many skills due to versatile performance and bardic knowledge (unless you switched those for an archetype). So I'd just say place all your skill ranks of you next level gained into spellcraft. If this is a level in Druid or bard it should easily bring you to the maximum. With the class skill bonus and a +2 from Int, you should be able to craft most items with ease (i.e. take 10).

Depending on how many skill points you have available to you, I would recommend just placing as many of them in it as possible, if that isn't enough and you want to use a feat to help, trust me on this one take additional traits instead. It will function as a meant to buff not only this (or pretty much any) skill, but also a new inlet for flavor, and another nice trait bonus, Hedge Magician perhaps?
Just a few ideas. :D

Hi Utgardloki,
It sounds like you don't really want to put ranks into spellcraft as you have other checks that you routinely have to make. I played a bard that realized he needed to have umd to be useful and took skill focus UMD, or was it my rogue... anyways I could have easily been more effective with two weapon fighting (it was rogue) or some other feat. If you want to make up ranks quick for crafting magic items, get your wizard or someone with umd to cast crafter's fortune on you. It's a first level spell in Advanced players guide that gives you +5 on your craft checks. (Might be off on level and name but definately +5 and in APG) Good luck.
