(UK only) Who would like my Dragon magazines?

Gamer Life General Discussion

So despite listing my collection of Dragon magazines (over 300) on ebay several times, there have been no takers. If anybody wants to pick them up from me, please post below! I’m in Cheshire, if that makes any difference for picking them up or not.

If someone wants to make me an offer for store credit here, that would be welcome. Alternatively, I only have one miniature, so if someone wanted to trade me some of their unwanted minis (say pre-painted ones to represent PCs and named NPCs, and various monsters) that would be good too.

On the other hand, if nobody wants to make an offer as to the above, or wants to pick them up for free, that’ll be OK if it helps get rid of them.

Roughly how much would you be looking for? I would prefer not to make an offer if what I can afford would be little more than an insult ;)

And how quickly do you need to be rid of them.

Do you have any issues below #24?

I have a few before the 24th issue and everything after up until... well, y'know.

Back of Barton. This is brits only. *Shakes fist menacingly.*

I forgot to mention. They cover issues 69-354, with multiple copies of some. Also includes the various Dragon Annuals and Best of Dragon 2-5.

There's no immediate rush, so don't worry about that.

Is a £100 value ok, ZN?

The Exchange

Damn Yanks with their fancy dentistry, over here to steal out women and Dragon magazines.

£100 sounds a bargain. Bid him up - I heard ZN's an eccentric millionaire who pretends to be left-wing while making a fortune from sweatshops up north somewhere. Or was that Freidrich Engels?

Anyway, I gave a load of my pre-Paizo Dungeon magazazines away, maybe 20 years ago. Do I regret that now?

Well my great grand fathers on my mothers side did respectively run the largest fruit farm in essex (granpa's dad) and help setup perrier(grandma's dad). So, maybe their is a little truth to that aubrey, but even for us tax dodging super rich times are hard.

Eric, If I get a full week of work this week I would certainly be interested. Given that is not certain, please don't turn down other offers.

£100 is also about my limit, even for such a wonderful collection, so if you get better offers please take them.

Regards,
Ben, listening to 'the message' by grandmaster flash and painting stairs in colchester.

Whoa, soldiers! Before Revolutionary War II brews, it may bear mentioning that Eric told me days ago he was thinking of offering Dragons on Paizo in return for store credit. Oh if only I'd thought to ask him then if he possessed any of the issues that would complete my ancient collection! What have I done by outing our... yes, I'll admit it...

Though are two countries are bitter, sworn enemies, Eric and I struck a peace treaty of two and have been secret friends for years. Now I know this could brand us as nation traitors by the authorities in either country and that we could dangle from treason's seldom tautened rope.

But he doesn't care that I don't adore warm tea and crumpets, and his apprehension to even taste apple pie slathered in Old Glory juice doesn't fluster me. Frankly, I myself don't fully trust anything juiced from a fabric for ingestion.

Shame on you for your xenophobia! You're not going to stop we, the irenic heralds of a new calm between our stormy realms.

I'M NO THREAT TO YOU! Because if his issues start at 69... I'm totally out of the running. As you were... ;)

It's clearly Amerigland.

That's sincerely a much better fusion. DAMN me for missed comedic opportunity! And one that had GLAND in it?! COME ON!

Scarab Sages

Well, stoke my glands!

Will you be at Paizocon UK again, Eric?
Because that would save me a ton on postage.

Hi Snorter,
Yes I'm thinking of dropping in on the Saturday to say hi to people.

Note, I'm *not* planning to post the magazines- they would just weigh too much- roughly 70-75 Kg! I'd like someone to pick them up.

Guys, I'm provisionally planning to take the car down to Aston, so should that be the case I *can* take the magazines with me. That will help you both!

I won't be at paizo con UK Again this year, thanks to recent changes in employment, so it would make no difference to me.

Hi Zombie,
Just wondering- is anybody going or could someone go along to pick them up, if you're still interested?

Unfortunately, the job I was working on came to an end sooner than expected. I am having to use the money I would have been using To sort out my SIA licence, so as much as I would like them, I am out of the running for them. I am very sorry.

That's OK, Ben. Sorry about your job. If Snorter isn't interested, then I can keep them until you're in a better position.

It's okay. Thank you and I am sorry that I didn't let you know sooner.

So, now some time has passed since I've started this thread, I thought I'd resurrect it.
If anyone wants my Dragon mags and is able to pick them up, please send me a PM. I'm in Cheshire.
