Campus Crusade for Cthulhu - extra session

PaizoCon General Discussion

Scarab Sages

I'm going to Paizocon with three friends. They all wanted to get into my Campus Crusade for Cthulhu game, but none of them made it.

So I'm going to run the game separately for them on Thursday. There'll be space for at least three more players. It really needs at least four to work properly, so please come find us if you're interested.

I have no idea where we'll be playing (depends on what space is available at the hotel, and where we can find a table they won't mind us using for several hours). We'll probably start around 3 or 4 or so (depends on when we get there - we're driving from Eugene, Salem, and Portland :)

So, if you're going to be there on Thursday, and if you're interested in the game, look for us there (or watch this space. I'll update once I know exactly when and where we'll be).

Silver Crusade

I was planning on taking Thursday off and would love to be in that game if it's before the meet and eat, so keep us posted.

I would look into the open gaming room,It was barely used last year It seemed, Every time I went down there too look for a game there was at least 3 to 4 tables open, unless they don't have it this year because they added more people.Just hope they do I was planning on bringing my zombies board game.

They have the mall expansion at the Comic Book shop at the mall...

As one who took part in Campus Crusade in college, I found the name of your scenario title hilarious :)

Well, looks like we'll be there later than I originally planned. So, the game may be going from about 7-12am tomorrow, or possibly moved to a time on Friday when none of us have anything scheduled. If it's Friday, it'll be in open gaming and I'll post the announcement wherever such things are posted there.

(I'll update here again once I know for sure, too.)

Thanks!

The adventure was partly inspired by my own experiences in college when a friend and I were running a gaming group as a campus club. The Student Activities Committee assigned us meeting space in a little building off-campus, along with both the Campus Crusade for Christ and the LGBA.

This was the mid-80s, right at the height of the whole "D&D is evil" satanic panic thing going on at the time.

Hilarity, of course, ensued.

Sadly, I grew up buying into the D&D is evil thing. Around 2005 I took the time to actually research it, something most evangelicals and newspeople alike ignore, even to this day. It's a perfect example of why you can't believe everything you see/read in the news. But at least it makes for good, corrective discussion.

I am here!

I'll be running the extra Campus Crusade for Cthulhu session tonight (Friday) in one of the Open gaming rooms at 6. There's no posted schedule anywhere for it, so I don't know which one - and won't until 6.

But, if you peek in to them, you should be able to find us. We've got three players, and will be waiting for at least one more before we start. Also, due to the nature of the game, extra players can easily join in late so if you can't make it at six, but are still interested before midnight, feel free to drop in! First come, first served, etc.

Thank you so much for running that game. I had so much fun with your crew. It was a blast!
