When the non sneakys approach Llathander they will notice that his knuckles are turning white from griping the spear, ready to launch it at the sock puppet gnoll. As Durant approaches he mouths the word, now?

"Very well," Garavel nods, taking all of yours reins, his falchion still held firmly with one hand. "End it swiftly."

You sneak up to the oasis in a small crowd, carefully following Durant's lead. The gnolls still seem oblivious to your presence, as their crude conversation carries on.

Atrocious Battlemap

First time ever making a map, so forgive the shoddy quality.

Abbas nods to Durant. Drawing his scimitar, he prepares himself for the battle.

He will wait for Durant, Llathander and Bahram to move and start, delaying to after them if necessary. Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Gilfroy will start things off with a bless spell for the group. As he casts it, everybody within 50' sees themselves start to blur and take on several reflections, their movements obscured. The effect doesn't grant any concealment whatsoever, but it serves to confuse your enemies, granting you all +1 morale bonuses to attack rolls and saves versus fear as the cloaking power of Sivanah enhances your combat prowess.

Male Half-elf Wizard 1 (Conjuration)

Remaining quiet as the group determines the threat of the creatures ahead, Badi passes his thumb across the ornate ring on his right index finger, almost as a involuntary flinch. With the smell, badi was certain that combat was to come and he mentally prepared himself for battle. Whipering so that the creatures wouldn't hear them, "I think it better to immobilize them quickly and be on our way."

DM Dice rolls:

Gnoll 1 Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Gnoll 2 Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Gnoll 3 Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Gnoll 1 Bluff: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Durant Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Gnoll 1 Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Gnoll 2 Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Gnoll 3 Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Durant sneaks up closer to the gnolls. Two of them do not react to his presence, yet the third one seems a bit strange, his voice changing into a whisper, and they all peer right at Durant. There's a bit of an edge to their voices as they all draw their weapons, drool dangling from their bloodied lips.

Updated battle map with slightly better quality

Combat begins! Everybody who hasn't, roll initiative. Please post your health and AC values in your posts; it'll make tracking damage easier for me. I will resolve rounds when everybody has posted - if 24 hours pass with somebody not posting I will DMPC them so we can carry on.

On my turn Llathander Will move to G -1 and throw a the spear at the closest gnoll.

Hate to mention this but your otherwize excellent map could use a tweak. Is it possable to extend the grid over the green stuff? I am not sure if a diagonal charge from the gnoll in (c,-2) would hit me or Abbas. Not a vital concern, just wondering.

Male Half-elf Wizard 1 (Conjuration)

Seeing that they have been spotted, Badi discreetly watchs, the words to a simply cantrip coming to his mind as he waited for his stronger "brother" to go ahead first.

All right, I assume Badi delays since he posted no action (though if you delay to the very end of this round, you can post two sets of actions next round) - also, Durant, I took the liberty to modify your actions slightly to reflect that you were charged before your turn - if this bothers you, feel free to call me out on it.

You are not surprised that the gnolls have spotted you - what does surprise slightly is the speed in which one of them, the smallest of their litter, rushes straight at Durant. Despite delivering an overwhelmingly strong strike, the monk dodges it with ease as the axe smashes into the palm tree to his left. Durant then steps away to unleash a flurry of shurikens - a right retaliation as one of the projectiles dig into its right arm. It lets out a pathetic whimper.

Llathander, taking the other gnolls by surprise, manages to land his javelin true - he strikes the creature's abdomen, though it only barely pierces the gnoll's crude leather armour.

Bahram's arrow flies past the gnolls, who advance to strike Abbas and Llathander. However, their attacks are sloppy and slow, and with the faith of Sarenrae, both men of her faith deflect the attacks with ease.

Bahram will aim for the wounded Gnoll in F-3 hoping to act before the rest of the group move into combat with it.

DM hasn't posted the order so I don't know if people moved into combat before I got to act.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 -4 if Gnoll is in combat as this is the firing into combat penalty.

My bad, I forgot. As for who gnoll 1, 2 and 3 is, I haven't found a way to indicate that yet without heavy editing. I do keep track so just attack the squares.

INITIATIVE ORDER
1. Gnoll 2 (14)
2. Gilfroy (13)
3. Llathander (12)
4. Abbas (11)
5. Bahram (9)
6. Durant (7)
7. Gnoll 1 (5)
8. Gnoll 3 (2)
9. Badi (1)

Llathander's attack seems to go slightly off target - instead of merely skewering the gnoll's leg, the force and efficiency of the falcata rends its stomach open as well as removing its leg. Intestines cover the ground, and the stench is not flattering in the slightest.

Gilfroy, Abbas and Bahram are all disheartened alongside the gnolls as their attacks fail to hit the enemy.

Durant, however, does not manage to dodge the gnoll's fierce assault; the blunt edge of his axe, dulled more by the previously poor strike against the palm, hits Durant right in the shoulder, leaving a rather deep gash.

The gnoll at F-2 is dead. Durant, you suffer 8 damage. Durant, feel free to act. Badi, we're still waiting for your actions. Will give you a couple of hours, otherwise I'll delay you still and carry on.

DM Dice rolls:

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Waiting to see what the nice doggie with the bleeding arm will do.

Nervous in his first real battle and mindfull of his master's admontion to breathe. Durant finds himself singing an old work song and he dodges Gnolls axe and sends his steel slivers in reply.

"Oh, the washer women sings hey-yea, the washer women sings hey-yo
Oh the washer woman sings, the washer woman sings and lays out her clothes in the sun."

Feel free to take up a verse. The pattern is "the {person} sings hey-yea, repeat with hey-yo. Repeat person sings twice and then add {action} in the sun. A very sinple song good for work gangs and as a walking song or a lullaby. The version Durant is singing tells of a community by a river waking up to a new day hense the sun refrain.

oh, The gnoll sings hey yeah, the gnoll sings hey yo
The gnoll sings, and the gnoll sings and has his guts laying in the sand.

Flurry of shuriken

Third shuriken, bless included 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 = 9.

Fourth shuriken, bless included 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6.

Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 1d6 ⇒ 4 cold.

Second blow bless included 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12. Add two for flank.
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8.

Badi's cascade of spells have the impeccable aim of striking in the gnoll's previously-acquired wounds, and when the second dart hits the life of the monster seethes out of its eyes as it collapses, dying. Durant steps away and unleashes another hail of shuriken, though the blow to his shoulder leaves his aim to suffer - and he fails to land a hit.
