Arcane Trickster Vs. Rogue / Alchemist?

Advice

Hey, there. My group is starting a new batch of PCs, and this time around I'm the sneak. Working with Wizard, Tank (fighter or pally), Cleric (or Oracle). I need a little more flavor than straight rogue, with some casting.

Would you go with...

Arcane Trickster (Wiz/Rogue entry, no assassin allowed, alas....)
or
Rogue2/AlchemistX (vivisectionist archetype for full SA)

AT has greater spell versatility, and of course the lvl 9 spells we know and love. Rogue/Alchy has substantially better HP and BAB, light armor, etc. Naturally, this combo would have UMD maxed. Possibly even skill focussed.

Either way, I'm looking for your thoughts. We're going Teifling, BTW.

Thanks!

Tiefling, eh?

Rogue/Sorcerer(Infernal or Abyssal bloodline).

Since the DM is permitting non-core stuff, see if (at some point), you can snag the Practiced Spellcaster feat from Complete Arcane.

I'd ditch the multiclassing and go straight rogue or alchemist.

In fact, in our next campaign I'm playing a chirurgon/vivisectionist alchemist. It's going to be awesome.

If you go the Arcane Trickster way, I strongly advise the Divination specialist (with the Foresight subschool from APG if allowed) as it will allow you to always act on the surprise round and, more often than not, to act first.

How about Dragon bloodline Sorcerer/Arcane Trickster. You can astound people with evocation that doesn't suck.
