Would an Alchemist be able to take improved critical Bomb and add the feat to all or would you have to take it for each individual bomb type? weapon focus would be in the same boat.

I don't think Improved Crit is a worthy feat to take for an alchemist.
Only the base bomb damage is multiplied in a critical hit, that is, instead of 5d6+5, you would inflict 6d6+10 for the price of a feat. I see no reason for the bombs to be of individual types, they are still "alchemist bombs", it's only the effects that change depending on how you choose them to be.
Each different kind of bomb is its own unique weapon so you would have to choose which kind you want it to effect(Same thing with weapons focus). That aside I am still on the fence as to whether or not bombs can actually critically hit in the first place due to their being splash weapons.

The bomb can crit, but only the creature hit with a direct bomb are subject to the additional damage, and only the first d6 is multiplied by 2.
A critical hit with a 5d6+5 bomb would inflict 6d6+10 on the target, but only 10 before saving throw in a radius, not 16.

With that perspective you should have to take a different focus with spells. You couldn't take weapon focus ray, you would have to take it with each individual spell.
