Boon companion feat: full powered ranger companion

Rules Questions

Hello all

I want to play a ranger and want to have a full level animal companion and people have talked about the feat Boon companion that give +3 levels which would make the companion full but where is this feat. Is it 3.5 material?

Thanks much

It's 3.5 material, but conflicts with the APG Beastmaster for the Ranger.

With the essentially 'higher cost' incurred (to do the same thing, and at Level 11 no less!) from the Beastmaster/Horselord, I think it should be fairly clear that BC should probably be excluded from the average game.

thanks for the 3.5 tip

how much do you think a mount would get killed until level 12 when it gets full powered from the mounted ranger archtype. I guess with trick riding one could potentially get 2 hits dismissed per round.

I think the mounts tend to do ok.

rangers use their AC's in melee all the time as a matter of normal practice, and they don't often get ganked, so the concept of it being a mount means it has even less chance as people hardly target mounts.

Boom Companion is Pathfinder material. It is in the Pathfinder Chronicles: Seekers of Secrets published by Paizo in 2009.

I was just looking in my paper copy of the book and didn't see it in there. Do you know what page it is on?
