The Trial of the Beast mentions the "old Mountain Road" (Page 8) and points you to page 81 of the same Adventure or "the Rule of Fear".
Page 81 suggest that the route is from Ravengo west of the Lake Lias to Tamrivena. It also gives us Encounter tables for Canterwall and Vieland.
Thats all good and fine, however Lozeri lies between Vieland and Canterwall. The Encounter Tables in Broken Moon show only the Shudderwood (and looking at the content...we should leave THAT area alone until later) and Ardeal.
As already pointed out in another post neighter the Adventure Paths nor the Rule of Fear shows any roads.
As I'm a real MAP freak....I would like some ROADS on maps....especialy if one mentions roads (old Mountain Road)
BTW: the same think goes for the Journey from Shudderwood to Feldgrau.

My dad told us a story about having visited the Soviet Union, possibly in the '70s? He said they didn't have any road signs telling you which road led to where - if you didn't know how to get there, you didn't belong there.
Apparently Ustalav takes it a step further and avoids any obvious roads at all. It makes a paranoid kind of sense - why should they make it easy for foreigners to find their cities?

Hello All,
I like the way the maps are presented in this AP. The lack of detail, especially roads, allows me to put them where I need them. Or, more to the point, my players need them. If they want to leave Ravengro at the earliest opportunity, but aren’t quite where they need to be for the Trial, well, the Old Mountain Road might have a lot in store for them.
If, on the other hand, they are right where they should be and anxious to get on with the AP, well, the Old Mountain Road might be an expressway. It might go through the towns, skirt them, or completely avoid them.
Less detail allows me to create an environment that suits our group. It also allows me to make changes as I need them. At least, that’s my take on it.
