I have a player in a homegame who is going to use a Summoner, and Ive heard how hard it is to get those right, so if you dont mind, please look over the build (I think he did it in HeroLab, but still) and tell me if everything looks like its on the up and up. Thanks a bunch.

Here is the Eidolon done out on Hero Labs. Two things to Note.
1) greatsword is only a valid target for reach due to poor wording of the ability. i am pretty sure It is not intended. My sample Eidolon has claws for reach.

2)Its unclear if Improved natural armor can be taken once or twice at lvl 6. Hero labs red flags it but hero labs gets stuff wrong. I put it in Twice in the Sample character.

3) Hero labs seemed to want to give him 40 hps so unless you were rolling or I made a mistake (which i could have) that is wrong.

Don't remember where it was posted, but I remember a mod posting about the natural armor thing at one point. You can get the evolution once at 6th level. Try searching for eidolon natural armor if u want to find the original post.

1.Basically the same. Great sword is not a option to gain reach as the reach evo basically is for natural attacks,but the reach evo is not worded to that effect, so that is your call.He could simply take the lunge feat if he wanted to.

2.Same with improved nat armor, herolab spits out a error but again the wording is wonky.

3.Same on the HP, HL give me 40 but if you rolled them its all good.

Thank you all for the responses.

The HP difference was because we use 1/2 of the HD +1 for how much you gain, you he was adding in 6 for every HD the Eidolon had, instead of 5, which I imagine is what HeroLab added.

As for the reach and Natural Armor, I asked the Questions of James Jacobs on the Ask James Jacobs ALL your questions here thread. He responded very quickly. His version of Natural Armor does differ from Mr Frost, but I think Im going to rule it in favor of Mr Jacobs, personally.

If you dont want to go to the link, he says the reach can be applied to any weapon and the NA is 1,5,10,15,20. I also specifically asked if the answers would change if it was RAW vs RAI answer he was giving me, and he said no.
