Possible Postal Strike in Canada...

Just for your info, Post Canada are talking of possibly going on strike on May 25 2011. If this happens, it could create a problem for you canadian clients (like me) who recieve your wonderful merchandise by mail.

We will all know for sure on May 22nd, where they will decide if they go through with it or not.

I'll keep you posted.

The good news is that we've had to deal with this sort of thing before and the result is usually delays, but not disappearances.

OTTAWA – Canadians will get their mail on Wednesday after all.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers issued a news release Sunday saying there will be no “strike activity” on that day and it will remain “business as usual across our network.”

About 48,000 mail carriers and inside postal workers had threatened to walk off the job on Wednesday if they couldn’t reach a deal with Canada Post.

But on Sunday, the union said that it has “reaffirmed that its goal is to negotiate a settlement to this round of collective bargaining with Canada Post.”
