I have a question regarding the Leadership subdomain. (I already posted this on the APG forum, but Vic indicated it might be better to post it here.) The text for the Inspiring Command ability is as follows:

APG wrote:
Inspiring Command (Su): As a standard action, you can issue an inspiring command to your allies. The inspiring command affects one ally plus one additional ally for every three cleric levels you possess, who must all be within 30 feet of you. Affected allies gain a +2 insight bonus on attack rolls, AC, combat maneuver defense, and skill checks for 1 round. This is a language-dependant mind-affecting effect.

I'm wondering if it is intentional that this sounds as if the ability could be used at will. I think a sentence like "You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier." might be missing here. The Nobility domain power replaced by this subdomain, Inspiring Word, for example, like many other domain powers, is limited in this way. Can someone shed some light on this?

Almost certainly in need of errata. I FAQed it.

I just read this and am wondering the same thing. When I gm for PFS I'm going to have to run it as written unless an errata or FAQ is made. As a player I'd like to know how this is intended to run. It is really good, but it takes a long time before you can affect your entire group and until I do more research with comparing it to similar spells & abilities. It is probably supposed to be 3+wis/day though. Can we get an official ruling please?

Also there is another post about this and I'm going to link each in the other. Here.

I don't think wasting a meaningful turn to even grant 6 people a +2 to a few things is all that great. I mean, a Bard could get everyone with a similar +1-5 and still do other stuff. Haste or Blessing of Fervor (since this is a Cleric thing) are both better and continue to work without action.

I don't know, there's almost certainly got to be better things for a Cleric to be doing with his turn. I'd see it more as a nice bonus for when the Cleric has nothing meaningful to do.

I guess there's a minor issue with "everyone in the party has +2 to skills," but really, you can grant that by just Aiding Another, so it only matters when multiple people have to make a skill check at the same time (and you don't, since it takes your action).

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines because you only get 1+1 per 3 levels allies you can affect, but I'm not as practiced a caster as I am a melee type so I don't have the proper empirical data to make an educated claim.

Alright, if you read the Inspiring Word from the Nobility Domain (pg 47 Core Rulebook) "As a standard action, you can speak an inspiring word to a creature within 30 feat. That creature receives a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for a number of roundsd equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum 1). You can use this power a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier."

The Inspiring Command from the Leadership subdomain (pp 92-93) "As a standard action, you can issue an inspiring command to your allies. The inspiring command affects one ally plus one additional ally for every three cleric levels you possess, who must all be within in 30 feet of you. Affected allies gain a +2 insight bonus on attack rolls, AC, combat maneuver defense, and skill checks for 1 round. This is a language-dependant mind-affecting effect."

So, the normal domain gives you a +2 on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws compared to the subdomain giving +2 to attack, AC, CMD, and skill checks. The normal domain only ever can be used on one target but gains a longer duration as you gain levels. The subdomain is stuck at 1 round but gains the ability to affect more allies as you gain levels. The normal domain is limited to 3 + your Wisdom modifier times per day but the subdomain is has no limit. Given the other similiarities I would say the subdomain is supposed to have the same limit per day.

I thought it may be intentional, as it's worse off than Inspiring Word. Although there's a fair chance it's just missing the usual limits per day.
