Hi all,

I talked to Bill this weekend and received some big news in regards to The Tome of Horrors Complete (PF and S&W editions).

In order to have the books available by Gen Con, we are closing the preorders after June 30th so we will know how many of each to print. We will likely print a few extras, but the books are going to be fairly expensive to print on anything other than a large scale, so there is unlikely to be a reprint (not impossible, but there would have to be a huge demand to justify the cost). So while the pdf will remain available, those hoping to catch a physical copy other than through preorder could have difficulty finding it. There have been some copies ordered for distribution through Noble Knight and Troll and Toad I believe, but again due to its prohibitive cost I don't believe that there will be very many on store shelves. Frog God is just a little company, and this is hugemongous book, so we can't just flood the market with copies without knowing how many will sell or not.

So I just wanted to let you all know; no rush and no need to panic, but we did have to set a hard date on which to end preorders so we can actually print the book, and I wanted to make sure you all knew with as much prior notice as possible.

Thanks, Greg

Just posting to draw attention to the post, that and to remind myself to save up the money for this book, before it is to late.

So....you're saying I need to order soon if I want a 3rd, right? ;)

Must preorder soon. It sounds awesome.

Maybe I will order a half dozen to get the suckas on eBay in a year or so.

Man thats not a bad idea if you got the extra few hundred bucks

Dark Archive

If you have a 2nd "printing" with errata via pdf will the 1st edition purchasers have free download of the 2nd "printing"?

Thanks for the update, G! Now get back to work, the sooner you finish this, the quicker you can get back to ST =)

I think that they're almost done cleaning the baby, it's going to be in my hands now soon to make it look purty.

Is there a link for the preorder?

Unless demand is high enough to justify a second printing. I mean, I have no idea how high it would have to be, but the possibility is there.

The Exchange

And now I have to make the decision whether or not to get this book earlier. Decisions, decisions...

Sell some plasma and find a corner near a busy freeway offramp and demonstrate to some random reporter your radio voice.

Silver Crusade

Thanks for the heads-up! Really need to get that order in.

Will eat sandwiches for a while but ordered a copy.

Liberty's Edge

Mine is already ordered! Its tough to say no to masssive monster books!

Just paid off my credit card - it'll take 5 workdays to clear (yeah, right) and then I can hit the pre-order button :-)

We're getting close to layout (and I'm getting really sick of looking at monster stats). :-)

That means it's time for Tsar to get some more attention. ;-)

Monster stats are not yet sick of looking at you, hungry perhaps, not sick. :D

So, Greg, to be clear, the $10 discount currently runs through June 1st, will it be extended to June 30th or do you only have five days left to get $10 off.

I've already pre-ordered, but there might be others out there on a budget that might like to know.

As far as I know, the $10 discount still ends June 1st. Bill may decide to extend it, but I have not heard any word that he will. It is, of course, always possible that he will just forget to take it down. I would say don't plan on it continuing after June 1st, but if it does, by all means take advantage of it. Our tardiness is your gain in that case.

Yeah, but I control the power of the pen...er, keyboard. For instance, Pazuzu was looking at me funny, and now he's CR 3. They'll learn...the hard way or otherwise.

HAHAHH I was getting worried about paying the higher price as I have only ordered a copy of the PF version and was waiting until the first of June to order either multiples of the PF version and a S&W version or just the S&W version. Then I read the title and noticed it said June 30th and not June first. 8)

If I were you I would just check that. I ordered this a couple of days ago and the preorder ended 30 June, but the special price ended June 1.

ordered!!!
I'll be adding this to my monster DB over on d20pfsrd.com

I want to preorder this but I don't understand the shipping options.

Book description says it is a hardbound book.

Shipping choices say "Select shipping for softcover purchases only."

So what should I pick?

I was told by folks here to pick the $4.00 option for domestic shipping.

If that's incorrect, I'm sure we'll be given the option to true-up later.

I was just about to preorder this but before i do i have a question. As i click on the "Buy Now"-pathfinder version button i'm linked to a shopping cart with the product added. Under the caption "Payment instructions" are a few points, of which the first is:

1. The product is a digital good. You may download it immediately after payment.

What does that mean?

Went ahead and selected that option.

Between this and the Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition, I'm sinking a lot of money in preorders recently.

I noticed that "immediate download" thing too - I guess that will be activated when the thing comes out, and that we'll get a heads-up to download our free pdfs.

Cheers Dark Sasha - it's from my old Lugian Elementalist in the Asheron's Call 2 Beta.

Wooohooooo! It worked.
Can't wait.

Sections "A", "B" and "C" have gone through preliminary layout!

I fear the "D", "G" and "S" sections....

The D's should scare you. It's all full of those demonic beings and their lords.

Frog God Games

I know, I've already done a preliminary proto-layout-skeleton-form-thingy and just setting up the "D" section hurt my wrist.

I need cyber-tunnels for my carpals.
