New post and delayed access

Sometimes there will be a new post, and even though other people can post to it I won't be able to. However after a few minutes which seems to be be between 5 and 20 I can access it normally. What causes that?

We run multiple instances of the website software, and sometimes the mechanism that keeps them in synch gets... out of synch. We'll be upgrading that component sometime in the next couple weeks, so hopefully that will fix it.

Or, you're running into those points in time when PMG, being a sentient computer program bent on world domination, is busy trying to hack various government systems in order to co-opt them into his own increasingly powerful portfolio.
