Advice

Ok, so, I'm about to play in a RotRL PbP in a few weeks, and I'm mulling over some character ideas right now. I've never played or read RotRL before, but I know a little bit about it: mainly that there are a lot of dungeon crawls and epic fights. My DM had me roll some stats, and here is what I got--brace yourselves.

18, 18, 16, 12, 11, 5

Help? I'm open to just about anything but a rogue or a summoner (I am already playing both these classes in other PbP's), and I think as long as it's paizo material the DM is fine with it.

Think about what stat you want to dump. I dislike dumping int since that leaves you without skill points (/character that is useless outside a fight), dumping wis is dangerous as is dumping dex or con - so my advice is playing a class that can dump cha (grumpy swordsman or grumpy wizard) or str (wizard or sorcerer probably - if you put the other 18 in dex, you have a fine ray specialist)

I'd go paladin. Str 18, Dex 12, Con 16, Int 11, Wis 5, Cha 18.
A low-Wisdom paladin is great, because it allows you to play an incredibly nice person who wants to redeem evil instead of destroy it, thinks people are inherently good and can change, is gullible, etc.

Alternatively, I'm currently playing a bard with 5 Str, and I'm enjoying it... How about Str 5, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 18, Wis 11, Cha 18.

Alternatively, a 5-wis alchemist or 5-cha barbarian are okay options, and they certainly have roleplay potential.

Halfling Ranger

STR 16
DEX 20
CON 16
INT 11
WIS 12
CHA 7

Gruff out-doors halfling hunter with muttonchops and a foul stench. You can call him "Skunk".
