Dagger or Shuriken?

Advice

What's the advantage of shuriken over a thrown dagger? I can't really see any other then its a monk/ninja weapon?

Why is it an exotic and require a feat to use?

Thanks,

Scarab Sages

My idea would be that the dagger has a handle and is essentially a very sharp table knife, which even a child can pick up and wield properly. It is also a 'western' weapon where a shuriken has sharp spikes all over which could more easlily injure a child (except maybe a child of a ninja) neccesitating a bit more know-how of use and is an 'eastern' weapon and therefore exotic when it cames to a western frame of mind when writing fantasy rpg's - hope this helps

EDIT: My post is a terrible example of written english - no punctuation etc. My english teacher would write a 'see me' after reading that LOL

The main advantage of the shuriken over a dagger is that a shuriken counts as ammunition for the purposes for drawing them. They're a free action to whip out and that allows you to throw with your full amount of attacks instead of needing a feat like quick draw to get the same result. By being a monk weapon that allows them to be used as part of a Flurry of Blows attack.

They also enchant like ammunition too in bundles of 50 and are destroyed after being used like an arrow or bolt would.
