Sniper ability accuracy and far shot feat

The sniper ability Accuracy (pg 134 of the Advanced Player Guide) halves the penalty for ranged increments with bows and crossbows. The Far Shot feat lowers the penalty to -1. What happens if a sniper takes the feat?

Does it eliminate the penalty completely? This I think is severly over powered.

Do they not stack? This I think is a bit low.

One of my players is looking at this option and I was hoping for a ruling or opinions. We did come to a compromise if nothing else comes out. The penalty would be -1 per 2 ranged increments. What do you people think?

half the penalty is -1/2 per range increment. Round up for the first one so it's -1 (as the minimum is -1) and then the second one would be as you said, -1. Third would still be -1, while fourth would be -2.

Of course you still have to see the target.

But it is no worse than grabbing a +1 distance seeking composite longbow with far shot. Range increment 240, no miss chance and only a -1 to hit for every 240 feet after the first.

If you stacked Far Shot with Accuracy, Spalding is pretty much right. You'd end up with a net -1 per 2 range increments, but you would probably round up on the odd-numbered increments. -1 for first, -2 for third, -3 for fifth, etc. Those are all for range increments beyond the initial, or 0 increment. His math is wrong on the Distance Longbow, though. It would be a 220 ft. range increment. Still, stacked with Far Shot and Accuracy, that would mean you could shoot up to 660 ft. with only a -1 penalty, -0 up to 220 ft.

yeah I was thinking a base of 120 feet for some reason... probably since the last time I thought about range was with one of the archetypes that extended your range increment... the archer fighter archetype iirc.
