Ability score increases as you level?

In 3.5 i think you could add +1 to a stat as you went up in levels...either every 4 or every 5 levels.

Is this in pathfinder too? I dont see any mention of it in the ability scores section.

yes it does, look at the chart before the barbarian showing leveling.

See Table 3-1 on pg. 30 of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook; +1 to any one ability score of your choice every 4 levels.
