The troll's wounds seem to be healing rapidly.

Don't suppose there's any way for me to identify the potions?

Vaki:
They all have about them the faint sweet scent of almonds. Otherwise, it'll take a tricky Spellcraft check.

This is some sort of troll, Knotted thinks, but he can't remember much about trolls except that they heal almost all damage dealt to them.

Simo shoots at the troll, eliciting a roar of annoyance. Raviel keeps wearing away at his foe.
Codwin, Vaki and Simo all need to move.

Vaki applies a dose of Drow Knock Out poison to his blade, then waits to strike the beast.

Standard action to apply poison

I've been having some trouble getting on the site. Nothing serious. I'll post the update in a few hours. Thanks for your patience. :)

Sorry for the delay, KC...I'll edit this with an update in a moment.

Ugh, stupid arguing with Cartigan. It could be a full-time job.

Noting that his acid attack seems to have had no effect on the beast, Codwin tries another tactic. He readys his blowgun, poisoning the dart with a particularly nasty substance he found on the bottom of his shoe one day.

Readying Blowgun and adding Purple Worm poison to the dart.

Female Kobold

My laptop refuses to load Paizo, and I had an extremely busy day yesterday. Isn't it nice to have a proper excuse for once?
I will actually post in a few hours. I stake my nice pointy sword on it.

male halfling wilderness rogue sniper 3

Simo fires from the shadows again.

snipe attack 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
sneak damage 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8

Female Kobold

Ah, it's working now!
Codwin and Vaki both pause to apply poisons to their blades.
The troll snarls and continues to madly target Raviel.
Take 8 damage from the bite and 9 from the claw (not counting DR, of course).

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

Raviel reels from the damage, and gravely wounded from the troll attacks and the kobold fight, he summons the dark energy inside him into his hand and as he moves backwards, he infuses himself with the dark energy

Raviel moves back 15' away from the troll then uses inflict critical wounds on himself to heal 4d8 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 1) + 4 = 17

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

"Tha situation is grave and dire."

welcome back KC..

male halfling wilderness rogue sniper 3

guys, as an aside, my wedding is only a week away now, and while i'll still be reading from my phone, my posting will be prolly almost nonexistent for about two weeks. dm kc, feel free to do whatever you like with my character while i'm mostly incommunicado.

Simo fires, but the troll barely ducks out of the way.

Raviel steps back and heals himself.
The troll screams in fury and pursues the same foe. It's practically on fire now (and may as well be, since it refuses to abandon its original target)and is looking badly injured, but it's still up.
This time, its claws hook the ribcage, and it nearly rips Raviel apart. The skeleton falls, inert, and the fire dies down to coals.
Take 50 damage. Raviel will return to life with 1 hp in an hour.
However, the ribcage is the hottest area of Raviel's flame. The troll screams, but this time in genuine pain.
Simo fires again.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Although his aim is true, the troll's hide stops most of the bolt.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

"AAAAAARG!"

Female Kobold

Ah, yes. All adjacent to Raviel, make a reflex save.
That'd be...the troll.
Suddenly, Raviel's fire flares up. The troll leaps away, but still gets slightly singed.

Codwin rushes to Raviel's side, trying to determine (without touching him) the state of the ghoul's health - that looked like a viscious blow.

I KNEW I'd forget at least one of my PbPs when I left on Friday. Sorry, I was at PaizoCon.

Knotted swings at the troll, but his club again bounces off the beast's thick hide. Codwin doesn't know much about undead, but it's clear that Raviel is destroyed. It'll take a Knowledge (arcana) check to learn more.

Male Human Werebat Harbinger 1/Stalker 1

Vaki throws a small stone, trying to distract the beast and catch him off guard. 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 Feint check

No, I was too slow again. :/

Terribly sorry for my absence. My internet went down, and I caught the flu. I should be back for good now.
Vaki throws another stone, to absolutely no effect. The troll doesn't even appear to notice.
However, Raviel's flames have taken their toll. The beast collapses in a flaming heap. It seems to still be regenerating, but the flames are slowing it down.
You can destroy it with ease now, should you wish to. What do you do?

Female Kobold

Raviel will reform in an hour, if you guys want to make camp.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

just reformin'

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

That's fine with me! Sorry, I've joined about 3 other games and started one myself since we left off, so I've been slow - again, sorry.

KC, the reason I asked about the banquet was because this was an honest to god question in the trivia contest: Codwin I is the ruler of what Inner Sea nation?

I was the only one in the room, I think, who got it right.

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

"A fine time to regroup I think."

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

Indeed, Tree-man! Give me a few moments, and I'll concoct somethign for you that may be of use! And no use blaming me if it isn't, notice I said may!

Codwin prepares an extract of Cure Light Wounds and passes it along to Knotted.

CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Is this a proper rest, or just a pause? Need to rebrew extracts if it's a true rest.

That is hilarious.

And it could be either. The kobolds haven't shown up to reinforce their comrades yet, so you seem to have enough time for a full-on rest. It's up to you, though.

Male Human Werebat Harbinger 1/Stalker 1

Vaki walks over to where Codwin is brewing up some potion or another "Excuse me sir, but I found me a bunch of potions, but I don't know what they are, though they smell faintly of almonds"

I'm sorry guys, I have so much going on in here.

Hrm. Well. Allow me to attempt to see what these might be!

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Female Kobold

Normally, Codwin would need to cast a spell, but the potions he holds are very common and he knows them by reputation.

Codwin:
They are potions of cure light wounds. The almond smell is generally attributed to potions made by the renowned halfling magician, Wist Eblin. Make a Knowledge (local) check.

Knowledge Local for Those Who Read the Spoiler DC 20:
Wist Eblin went missing a little while back. He had been visiting a major svirfneblin city, but never made it back to the surface.

Raviel Vangua wrote:

After some time has passed (we'll say the identification occurs right before this post, to keep things simple), Raviel's bones begin to rattle. They start to reorganise, coming back together!

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

Hey! Look there! Bone-man is knitting back together! These are potions of Cure Light Wounds, by the way. A worthy drought.

Codwin has no knwledge of Local things. Only Andoran. And only professed knowledge, at that.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

"It will take a lot more than a troll to permanently kill me... wait did you say potions of Cure Light Wounds" he recoils in fear and disgust "Yea you can keep that"

Female Kobold

The group is able to rest without being disturbed.
Please select new spells and heal the typical amount (if you do heal). What now?
EDIT: I won't be able to post much for the next few days, as I'm trying to finish my NaNoWriMo. Yes, it's a November event. In case you all haven't noticed, I'm a procrastinator. :P
