Samurai Discussion: Round 1

Well, i'm a newcommer here so..

Reading all of the threads and the beta samurai class, it came to me, that the samurai ended up just a oriental cavalier.

I have a few ideas that i would like to share:

First, as many are saying, the mount hability dosen't mak any sense... i mean, the samurai surely must have the skill to hide a horse, but not a mount with special link or anything like that. The horse is a samurai element, but not a always present and neither a indispensable one.

The banner skill to, is weird. If the smurai devotes hinself to a Damyo, why people wold devote thenselves to the samurai ?
They where powerfull warriors, but not all of then where great generals.

The order hability don't make sense to me, too. there are no such thing. You can have a master or not. It matters only in the social status. (like that old story of the samurai who turned into ronin than entered their ex-damyo castle em comitted seppuko just to make hin see that he was turning to evil ways).

Finnaly, i think that you should put some custumizable fightining skills, like some "katas" or something like. Its commom in the pop culture the idea of the samurai clans or dojos, each one with their own unique and incredible arts. Maybe this hability could be like the rogue talents and ninja tricks (samurai katas, i think), or even like the Book of The Nine Swords schools and manouvers...
I, and i believe everybody else, dont want a realistic samurai, but a fun one.

Well, it all said, i'm done, thanks for reading all this mess... and sorry for any gramatical assassination, i'm not that good in english :~

hide a horse must be a incredible act of stealth! i wanted to say ride. Sorry for this horrible mistake.
