What can you do while 'Concentrating'?

Rules Questions

Now the PRD discusses Concentration and all the checks (e.g. grappled, violet motion, etc.), but I'm not clear on what kind of actions you can do exactly (or it is spell specific?), so as to not break Concentration:

1. Use a standard action to concentrate
2. Use a full-round action to concentrate
3. Can do a move action but may have to make a Concentration check (e.g. violent motion)
4. Can do free actions normally
5. Can do immediate actions normally
6. Can speak normally
7. Use an item (e.g. drink a potion, unfold a boat, etc...)

Now obviously you can't cast a spell while Concentrating (this includes spell completion items like wands, scrolls, and staves), but what about those actions above? Or does it fall under GM discression?

Concentration and Concentration checks are two separate things. I'm not an expert on all this, but I'm pretty sure the simple explanation is:

1) If you have to concentrate on a spell to maintain the effect, you have to concentrate as a standard action each turn. This means you can still take a move action, swift action, and free actions each turn that you are concentrating.

2) A Concentration check is what you make when something has a chance to break your concentration. If you are injured, moving violently, etc. A Concentration check is made in response to someone else's action or as part of your own action. I'm not sure if a Concentration check is technically a free action, but I don't think you ever need to spend an action to make a Concentration check. It is usually a reaction to something else. Kind of like, when the floor collapses under your feet, you get a Reflex save to jump out of the way.

Thanks for the clarification.
