Off hand penalties?

Rules Questions

What's the penalty for using a weapon with your off-hand, when the character doesn't attacking with a weapon in his primary hand? I was thinking about what would happen if a character had a sword in his main hand, a buckler on his off arm, and fired a pistol with his off hand, and the two-weapon penalties table looks like it only kicks in when the character attacks with a weapon in each hand.

You are correct. PF doesn't have "handedness". As long as you only attack with one hand, you can attack with either at full BAB.

Off-hand attack has nothing to do with a character being right or left handed. It merely refers to the weapon you will be dealing half-Str bonus to damage with.

Cool, thanks!
