Sczarni

Hi All,

I am looking to run this for Society play in a few weeks and I was curious to know if anyone had a blown map where the squares are 1 inch?

My original idea (one I usually do) is do each room on 8.5 x 11 paper to keep a "fog of war" going for my players, however I was thinking of being a little lazy for this one.

Any help?

Is it at all possible to get a copy of this map without all the numbering so that I can import it into D20pro? I project my maps onto the tabletop to help speed up gameplay, while at the same time looking much better than drawing out rooms with no detail.

You can extract the maps from the PDFs without labels.

That's true, you can, and I do for my CoT campaign. I have never run into an issue with the AP's. However with the modules, many of the maps are printed on the inside front and back covers of the book, or PDF. The protections allow for copying content, but not page extraction. The maps on the inside covers must be set up as a page, and therefore won't allow me to copy and paste.

You can still copy out the image files on the covers, just like interior ones. - Or at least I did from Godsmouth Heresy.

What program do you use? I use Adobe Reader 8. I can pull the images from everything but the covers, so I can't get those maps. The only way that I found around it, was to scan the inside cover as a pdf and convert that PDF to a jpg or bit map, then edit in a paint program to hide the room numbers and secret doors. Then I could import into D20pro. It worked, but it was time consuming.

If chavamana is still around I'd like to hear how he did this. I am experiencing this exact same problem. I want to use d20pro to run Godsmouth Heresy, but can't copy out the image of the ossuary map because it is a full page. I am using Adobe Reader X.

I did more searching and found out about the snapshot tool which worked. Now I just have to figure out how to scale it and get the grid right. Any tips on how to hide the numbers/secret doors?

I hadn't tried before, but I'm having the same issue with the inside cover of Godsmouth Heresy. This is the exact same trouble I had with the detailed map of Kaer Maga on the inside cover of City of Strangers, which was drawn by the same artist ("Blando").

Don't know if this was deliberate or a glitch. The maps in Pathfinder #1: Burnt Offerings and Seven Swords of Sin also had the numbers embedded in the maps. I ended up reproducing the maps in my VTT program (MapTool) using its drawing capabilities rather than trying to mask out the details. I had chalked those up to the fact that they were very early Paizo releases (both in 2007), and that they have since changed how they layer art in the PDFs of their products.

Hah, I'm also running RotRL, but luckily that one's in person. Well if worse comes to worse my buddy and I can finish GH in person, and then pick a newer module to run with d20pro. Thanks for the response.

I'm curious what other people did with Esme? I ran it this weekend, ran out of time :-( but they dutifully went to the alchemist and decided to smuggle her out of the temple.

So what did your team do?
