Best Level 6 Assassin for Kingmaker

Advice

Liberty's Edge

So I am making up a back-up character for my current character (Life Oracle).

Assassin desired requirements:
1 Level Assassin
Heavy Stealth
Leaning toward longbow assassin, but will accept aldori dueling sword
20 point buy
human or half-elf
wbl
Lawful Evil alignment
Kingmaker setting viable
Total level has to equal 6 (including 1 level of assassin).

I am tinkering around with the idea of ranger3/rogue2 or straight inquisitor build. I need thoughts and suggestions please.

Edit: Smurf!

Are you going assassin for the death attack or the flavor?

Assuming you want to play the Assassin PrC I would take just enough rogue levels to get into the class, and then go ranger before going assassin.

If it is a flavor issue then the rogue and the ranger are both better than the assassin at his job if he is a PC.

If you want to kill things by steping behind them from the shadow i would go Fighter 5/shadowdancer 1 (-4)/fighter X with maybe a level of ranger thrown into the mix to get Stealth as classskill (if you can´t manage it with traits) and favored enemy (human) for a little extradamage.

Just max your Stealthskill, and sneak from shadow to shadow in your fullplate at 30ft speed and backstab people with your keen Bardiche while using power attack and spring attack :)

More reliable than a death-attack anyway and more damage than a rogue even if he would get his sneak damage.

And while out adventuring with your buddies you can get whirlwind attack (you need most of the required feats to get into shadowdancer anyway) and enjoy your spinning whirlwind of DOOM.

this.

who needs sneak attack when you have +bunches to each hit. Play a Human Fighter with at least a +1 Int, and (as stated above), max stealth and get it as a class skill. I can tell you from experience a Human Hunting Ranger will have a very fun time running through the first bits of Kingmaker (not to mention some other, later parts).

Plus, you could also handle animals, social skills, or physical skills, depending on what you prioritized. You'd have tons of HP, good AC, but would have to shore up your Will save.

All in all, any martial class/assassin, if played sneakily, will serve nicely throughout the AP.
