I know this should probably be in the Lodge forum rather than General Discussion, but I wanted a higher initial chance of Steve and the participants at MystiCon seeing this.
I just wanted to say thank you to Steve for getting a couple of GMs to come to MystiCon in Roanoke, VA at literally the last minute for the convention this past weekend. They were able to run all five sessions they scheduled and I believe the numbers were five players for one scenario and three players with GM-run pre-gen for the other four scenarios. I would have loved to play, but as I was helping to run the convention, I do not think I got to spend more than an hour at a time in any one area over the entire three days. Of course, now that we have a year to plan for next year's MystiCon, I hope that Steve, myself, and the gaming coordinator for the convention can work together to greatly increase those beginning numbers.

Yeah, the Gaming Coordinator had to take several months off from working on the convention and when he could finally work on it again, it was only a couple of months before the con's dates. No one else was able to step in and work on things while he was unavailable, so we were lucky to have had any scheduled events at all. Add to that you becoming a Venture-Captain just a couple of weeks before the convention and it left very little time to set much up for Pathfinder for the con either. What is a good lead time for starting to set up the PFS games and getting the support that the PFS normally gives conventions?

Hey Steve - I live a few miles south of you in Wilmington. As far as I know there is no local director down here - are you the regional director for us too?
I'd like to attend Free RPG day somewhere and I don't mind driving to Raleigh for a day of gaming. We only have one game store in the area - Cape Fear Games - but I haven't heard whether they are supporting the free gaming day or not.

I've been selected as the Regional Coordinator for the Raleigh area. I take that to mean the triangle (Raliegh-Durham-Chapel Hill). Hyrum asked if I would also be willing to help answer questions for people in the Winston-Salem area, and I agreed. That being said, I'm willing to try to answer questions from anywhere and I'll try to muster GMs to send to conventions as far away as Roanoke, VA.
Wilmington is much closer. We have a handful of college students here in Raleigh that call Wilmington home. Here in Raleigh we have Pathfinder Society every Monday and Thursday night. From time to time we have Saturday games. For Free RPG Day, I'll probably be running We Be Goblins at Game Theory. It looks like Cape Fear Games is a participant, too.

Hope to game with you soon.

Steve,
Are you running it cold, or do you have some way to get a copy early?

Normally the Free RPG day box comes in a week early, allowing volunteer Gms to prep the adventures they are running early
