Could anybody please help me understand why the witch's flight hex grants a +4 on Swim and not Fly?
I believe it's a jokey reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail and how witches float in water.
What do you do with witches? Burn them. And why do they burn? Because they're made out of wood. Wood floats in water. What else floats in water? A duck (and various other things, like very small rocks ).
So if a woman weighs the same as a duck, then she's made out of wood and hence she's a witch.

Actualy it is meant to reflect reality that joke was based on. They did actualy use that to test if a person weas witch...they would tie a rock to her and threw her in the water...if she floats...she is a witch and to be burned...if she sank and drowned she was innocent. Yeah it sucked to be alive back than.
But the flight hex specficaly states that the witch grows lighter which would make it easier to swim hence the +4 to Swim.
