I have noted various post on this forum confirming that the Elven Curve Blade can be used by Weapon Finesse, as stated in the description of this weapon. Fine.
Yet, I have not seen anyone comment on the WEIGHT of the Elven Curve Blade... which is one pound short of a Greatsword!!!!!!
Weapon: Weight
------------------
Greatsword: 8 lb.
Elven Curve Blade: 7 lb.
Longsword: 4 lb.
Scimitar: 4 lb.
Rapier: 2 lb.Something is not right here - Could someone at PAIZO confirm that this is indeed the intent??
Either this weapon should NOT be 'Finessable' -OR- its Weight should be seriously revised downwards...
In the hope of a Clarification!!

Curve Blade, Elven: Essentially a longer version of a scimitar, but with a thinner blade, the elven curve blade is exceptionally rare. You receive a +2 circumstance bonus to your Combat Maneuver Defense whenever a foe attempts to sunder your elven curve blade due to its flexible metal. You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with an elven curve blade sized for you, even though it isn't a light weapon.
There is no such description that requires weapon finesse. If you would be so kind as to put some links up the posters here can correct the situation. :)
The weapon only states that even though it is larger than most weapons that can be finessed it is an exception to the rule.

I've long been of the opinion that Weapon Finesse has less to do with the weapon and more to do with how one fights with a weapon. Any melee weapon and be swung around with brute strength, but some of them can be wielded using a style that emphasizes finesse. Daggers can be thrust and stabbed with brute power, or they can be flicked and danced around looking for weak points. Because of their low weight, all light weapons can be finessed like this. One handed weapons tend to weigh more and make it harder to make them dance. The rapier is a notable exception, since it relies on a very small cutting surface to deal its damage. With a non-core Paizo feat, you can basically finesse a scimitar too. The elven curve blade, though heavy, is designed to be wielded with precision and grace. It takes some strength to wield properly (STR to damage represents this), but is wielded in something more closely represented by a dance than much else.
Mind you, a lot of that is me simply explaining why the mechanics are the way they are and aren't supported by anything official. That said, 7 pounds isn't that heavy...

The OP seems to have deleted his post. I guess he did his own research and found his original source lacking.
Yes sorry - I had NOT noticed that it was a 2 handed weapon (I do not recall seeing a 2-handed weapon that could be Finessed before this!!) - You guys reply so blindingly fasttt!! THANKS! Carry on!
