Sweet. I'm running a few things through my head already about how Bree might react to a talking raven.

For combats, what I noticed works well in the other PBP's I'm in is if the GM rolls the initiative, and then the players can post up their actions ASAP.
Normally the actions are expressed in terms of 'intent' and preferrably posted in order I tend to use 'action A, or ix X happens then heres B' and then based on the party actions the GM details what happens at the end and the position for starting the next round.
If players don't post an action within a reasonable time, the GM can resolve their activities/GMPC them for the round so momentum isn't lost.
The whole fight is usually over in under three rounds I find :p
Anyhow, just my 2c.
I noted the GMs comment about bigger fights coming, so always happy to get combat process polished ahead of the bigger set pieces...!

@Sebastian: I was wondering what prompted the reference to the world as a play. You made me start thinking that there was some line in the Bard class description I missed that says Bards are required to think of everything in terms of a story or a play or a show. The other PBP I'm in has a Bard who's rocking that aspect to the hilt. :)
And don't worry. The sailor won't be too beat up. It's entirely up to him how masochistic he is. Kaylen doesn't have to break everything's face. It's just fun. :D

Sounds like you should either turn the notifications off, or set up a new account for non-junk :) I'll think of something entertaining to send you!

Hey you guys, I'm going to be afk for the next few hours. If for whatever reason the game heats up while I'm gone, Tom, please feel free to step in for me. Otherwise, I'll check in (probably drunk) later! Ciao.
Inebriated posts...this should be fun :)

@Kaylen I knew I could count on you and Sweeney for some recreation mayhem.
But as to the Playbill reference, look at the post a few above this one..it give a bit of Sebastian's development. But the comment itself was just in reference to a growing list of Tasks that seem to be developing. Find who staged the robbery, who poisoned the girl, beat up the abuser, now deal with the blot...

Just imagine all the problems that will unravel once this party actually SLEEPS!
I seem to recall a rule about forced marching and its affect on ability scores. Going to have to look those up.
Not ignoring the game thread...out and about....will have something when I get home.

Well, I posted IG. Hopefully it's coherent. I'm beyond simply inebriated at this point, but I usually do fairly decent at typing when I'm drunk. Thank goodness for spellcheckers bright red squiggly lines and the ability to re-read before you post :)

Hey, another fan. I have TNG, DS9, and Voyager all on DVD. Currently trying to find the TNG so I can go through it again.
Spent most of Saturday asleep, then went and worked a show, and struck the whole thing afterwords. End of a two-week run.
Which show?
| Kaylen |
We did have to do some strike. For this show, strike consists of taking up the marleys from the floor, putting up the sound shells, and swapping the lights over from the Dance plot to the music plot. Three hours this time, bt it usually takes longer. We have to share the stage between the various performing arts departments. You probably know how it goes.

Yesterday I went to a bucks night, that had unlimited free alcohol. We kicked off at 5pm, and I got to bed at 4am, and then up at 6.30 to make breakfast and go training (physical exercise after that FTW!) for a couple of hours...then to a pathfinder game (which I didnt have to GM at least) I am home now and its 830pm... I have a headache.
Was a good Bucks night though, once I took over.

I spent my Saturday working on a term paper and recovering from a hangover. It wasn't too bad, just a mild headache and the desire to guzzle a gallon of water. Later I refreshed the ooc thread a bazillion times while talking to a friend on IM and watching old episodes of 21 Jump Street, hopping to be the first to be able to say that we're back... but Sable beat me too it so I just went to bed :P
Welcome back everyone!

Yeah, I did lot of refreshing. Missed the reboot by a half hour before I went to sleep.
So my Saturday was spent checking on the vacant house that I have for sale and doing laundry while I was there, Playing with my two dogs, Watching two episodes of X-files (DVR'd off of BBC America), Skyped awhile with my wife who is off at a week long training session, and read a little more of Martin's Feast for Crows as a refresher before his next book comes out. Nothing too exciting.

I am playing that now (still in the first mod), but I am sure my Shoanti ex-street thug Ranger with a bardiche will be a good stand-in.
My DM is running us through the first mod currently also. I'm a streetwise halfling rogue.
Hey guys, I'm crashing out early tonight. My kid kneed me in the back, aggravating an old injury of mine so I'm hurting. I'll post in the a.m. Hope you all have fun!
Ouch. I hope you feel better after some rest.

To put the fear of Calistria into friend Loy, of course. And to do some more questioning of Thuvalia. I can try to make my way to the temple, if the party would prefer.
You are completely free to question Thuvalia, we're just giving you a hard time :)

Pssh, speak for yourself!
OK, OK, he's right. We are just giving you a hard time.

Interview was good yesterday. Picked up some work for the next few days so I won't be able to post until tonight.
Thought I'd let you all know so no one thought I just disappeared. :)
Congrats Tom. Why only a few days, though? Or is this side work separate from the interview?

Separate from the interview. Just something to take care of some nagging bills.
