I have been working on a 3D model of fort Rannick, it is far from done but I thought I might share my progress on the project so far.
I plan to complete the outside, and then model all of the building interiors.

It is being modeled in google sketchup a free 3d modeling program
I am no expert or architect just a hobbyist, please feel free to comment, but try not to be too harsh I am more interested in looks then exact architectural accuracy...

can you make another building?
I am also working on thistletop for my campaign, the players took it over after cleaning out the goblins and have done a few revisions so it varies from the original map a little.
Thats wonderful, I have worked with sketchup for a while to do my home redesign and I think I'll use your experience to do something similar on other Golarion places soon... thanks for your effort however

You're encouraging me to go on with my re-mapping of Runeforge.
Those are awesome models. I'm an architecture hobbyist myself, but I haven't made the leap from 2D floorplans to 3D models yet - it's a bit intimidating. What program did you use to do those? Also, how much time did you put into the Fort Rannick model?

I use Google Sketchup it is really easy to use and has a ton of great video tutorials on the site as well as a ton on youtube (just do a search for sketchup).
It only took me a couple of hours to do the latest floor plan, the main outer model is probably 6 or 7 hours of work spread out over a few weeks now, with at least that much more to do still.
