Need a race

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Need a PC race in the same vein as tiefling, aasimar, ifrit, etc. but descended from fey. My search-fu is weak today, must be out of ki points. Thanks.

Changling (this term comes from a child who was repalced with a fae at birth, hence the name).
-2 str, +2 dex, +2 cha
type: Fey
Base speed: 30 ft.
Size: Medium
Low-light Vision
+2 saves vs. Charm, compulsion, and fear
+2 Knowledge (Nature) and Survival
+8 on disguise checks to appear human
They treat their Cha score as if it were 2 higher for sorcerer (fey) bloodline abilities.

How's this?

Looks good, maybe a minor spell-like ability to bring on par with the plane-touched races. How about dancing lights 3/day? Anything paizo published available?

As it stands, it is on par with the elf, How about faerie fire 1/day?

It doesn't really need anything else. +2 cha and an additional +2 cha when taking fey bloodline (another +2 to compulsion DC) makes this race horrifically broken as a sorcerer, at least until higher levels where mind-effecting immunity is common.

not really, the +2 cha for fey bloodlines does not increase spell save DCs or spells per day, only bloodline features.

Oh. That's safer. The only thing that affects is the number of times laughing touch can be used per day. +1 use per day.

There is the old Feytouched in the 3.0 Fiend Folio. It should not be that hard to convert to Pathfinder

Scarab Sages

There is a 3.0/3.5 template that I happen to be fond of that I'd like to see translated into pathfinder; Half-fey. I know a lot of people argue that at lower levels it's broken, but it really evens out at higher levels and is a lot of fun to play.
