Would performing a dazzling display (using the feat) with a bow expend arrows?

I would say no if you didnt want it to. The show of prowess doesnt neccasarily mean simulated attacks. It could be a number of tricks with the bow itself, and not firing arrows (spining it around and such)

I suppose you'd have to find some way to look menacing or skillful with a bow, but RAW, you don't really have to do anything in specific with the weapon. You could air guitar with the thing and provided your Intimidate check is high, the targets will find it irresistibly menacing.

Okay, maybe I’ll play it that my display involves my arrows ricocheting back to me and landing undamaged back in my quiver :P

I just don’t know if I could sit there straight-faced and declare I’m going to intimidate a group of enemies with my mad bow-air-guitar-spinning-baton skills at least not with just any character – it takes a special kind of personality to pull that off, lol.

well, i think if you are good at intimidating people you can make anything intimidating. I met a guy once who worked as an interogator. He demonstrated how he could intimidate someone with a spoon. It worked. You normally wouldn't think someone threatening you with a spoon would be anything but funny, but with the right skill who knows. I bet that guy could have made air guitar scary.

This reminds me of the intimidating folding coat-hanger from the Indiana Jones movie.

I got that "I'll kill you with my teacup" vibe.

Having been a former "secret squirrel" type in the armed forces, one's (rightfully earned or not) reputation get's around.
At my sisters wedding (which I flew in last minute to attend, still wearing military regalia) I was introduced to a friends new wife, whom I had never met, and my friend introduced me as "The Guy I told you about, the one who can kill people 10 different ways, with a straw"

So I guess I didn't even need the straw even in my hands, for dazzling display on that one? She was very impressed/intimidated...

So dazzling display could be as simple as your 'reputation with a bow'

"hi boys, I'm (insert name here), I think you've heard of me... what do you think, green fletching, or blue?"

You should spin it on your finger like a basketball. That would scare 'em!

Liberty's Edge

Shoot the stupid arrows! They're arrows, not gun bullets. Heck if the GM uses the Cost of Living section (pg405 core book), they're probably free (unless you're poor or worse).
