Morning, all. What did I miss?

podcasting and drinking coffee, trying to get my class paperwork done before Monday's surgery. Moved on from F&D to AA.

I just realized that this fall is going to be the five-year anniversary of my account on these forums. To commemorate, I'm getting this.

Congrats, Shiny.

Yes, Urizen, Aristotle was right when he said beauty was based on proportions.

Damn, how many days is Blogger going to be down.

It should be a full back tattoo in only a way that Henry Rollins would approve.

Last season, last 2 or 3 episodes. Only reason they are dropping the show though, DC lost the copyright to Superman.

Sorry, M. I'm not sure how to get rid of them now that they've shown up. Try ignoring them and maybe they'll wander away.

I too am out of beer, and my head hurts, but my discomfort is self inflicted.

Rone is so right-on with his tall rant. Soon, we tall guys will stop pushing the pent-up rage down and just slay all you shawties (well, except the really cute ones) and remake the world in a more convenient scale.

Actually, most of the cast & crew feel that they've told all the stories they've wanted to tell in the ten seasons. Remember, this show is about how Clark becomes Superman. Hence, why the finale is the only time he's in the tights.

Now, in regards to the copyright issue... It's Wikipedia to the rescue!

Nope the copy right is to go back to the families of the creators. It is also why they are rushing out a new Superman movie that is nothing more than a remake of the classic Christopher Reeves first two films.

Or perhaps I only heard half the story and maybe Wiki beats what I had thought was going on all to hell.

Checked the news stories linked at the bottom and it shows I had only 1/2 of what was going on.

Actually, I don't hate on Smallville, i just am not into it. I like individual characters and episodes, however. LOVED the way they introduced cyborg, for example. The series rekindled my love of green arrow as well, although his comic is currently about to be dropped.
Ironically, I have a simmering anger over Green Arrow. From the very beginning, you can kinda tell that if the use had been approved, it would've been Bruce and not Ollie in the show. Smallville's Ollie has a LOT more in common with Batman than the comic's version of GA. *le sigh*

puts comic nerd hat on

The comic GA had alot in common with the comic Batman from 40's-1967. GA, during that time, was described as "Batman with a bow". It wasn't until Denny O'Neil that they made GA into the "voice of the left."

Not really, but Hawkman was the definite "Conservative" of the group (they even played off each other quite frequently). This rivalry was actually brought over to Smallville as well. ;)

I never saw Hawkman as "conservative" He did show up very much a "warhawk" on smallville and I did like how they played off of each other.

Too bad the Aquaman TV show did not take off. I think it is funny how it is referenced in Entourage. Not that I watch the show.
