That's right. It's an Odyssey pun.
P.M. Seymour?

Unfortunately, due to their incredibly proprietary sauce they won't release an ingredient list (for fear that the sauce will be duplicated).
That immediately crosses them off my list, unfortunately.
Joke's on you! I don't even eat the sauce.

Food allergies, or general principle?
Miz Daisy is extraordinarily sensitive to cane sugar, black pepper and yeast extract, so any product that doesn't list EVERY ingredient is a no-no in our house. There is only one brand of ready-made chicken or beef stock I can buy.

Marvel Movie Timeline #14: Ant Man:
Being injured has its advantages in terms of being able to knock off a lot of Marvel movies quickly. I'd never seen Ant Man before, I didn't feel like I was missing anything, and I still feel the same.
Don't get me wrong; it's a perfectly passable superhero movie: The plot stupids weren't excessively stupid, the "why would that character EVER do that?" didn't distract TOO much, and the utter predictability of the whole thing wasn't overwhelming.
I liked it.
But it wasn't a great movie. I wouldn't even consider it a "Marvel" movie other than it happens to be set in the same universe and they mention the Avengers a couple of times and even show one.
So honestly, I'd rate it, "Go ahead and watch it if you're bored and you want to watch a superhero movie you haven't seen, but don't go out of your way just to see it."
Damned with faint praise, Ant Man is...

The supporting cast did it for me, from Doogie Howser's friend Vinny playing the one guy and Micheal Pena as the side kick especially with his Drunk History style flashbacks to Micheal Douglas I thought the supporting cast was phenomenal.

Mmm, delicious Proprietary Sauce.
ALL(DE) and the kids came over today, and we had lunch in the (excellent) Korean restaurant that's just opened up, then visited a Local Landmark and its various shops and whathaveyou. All we bought were some rocks, and a babygro for my cousin's new offspring, and the kids bought sweeties and a lucky sixpence. There was an antique shop with swords for sale, but I'm trying to save money, so I did not buy the swords, not even the rather tasty scimitar with the lion-headed pommel.
Filthy weather, though, and it's only got worse since.

I had that bulgogi thing yesterday. A few days ago I saw a small package of bulgogi paste while getting groceries so I decided to give it a try.
It was fine. I was worried it will be more spicy after tasting the paste itself, but after being mixed with meat and fried it was much more palatable. Except I used pork instead of beef. Beef is expensive and not really worth the higher price mark in my opinion.
Today I will be eating pork with tandoori sauce

False. Grits good.

That is impossible. Grits are bad.

Ah, the Circle of Life:
Dad puts Chubby Hubby on the shopping list
Dad buys Chubby Hubby
Dad opens Chubby Hubby and has a spoonful
Impus Minor, finding an open carton of Chubby Hubby in the freezer, makes off with it to his room and finishes off the rest
Dad puts Chubby Hubby on the shopping list
I hesitate to guess how many thousands of calories Impus Minor has protected me from. And the most annoying part? Now that he's started weightlifting, the calories mean nothing to him. 17 years old, 5'10" (178 cm), 170 lbs (77 kg), and in the weight room 2-3 days a week. He can eat anything and not care.
If he weren't such an insanely picky eater, and if I didn't have a good memory, I'd hate him.
(In my tae kwon do days when I was doing 22 hours a week including at least 7 hours of mid-to-full contact I was eating 5000-6000 calories a day and maintaining 155, so I can't exactly whine that it isn't "fair". It just sucks when you CAN'T do that any more...)

Crap. That's my height and my (long ago) weight.
Except I never did sports and could not get into anything more strenuous than do a few squats and a few push ups.

A lot of big plans are going to hatched this week for the end of winter. Sounds like I'm going to be helping out our carpenter with some marble countertops and it sounds like I'm going to also help him out with a charity thing where professionals help with building a habitat for humanity house in a field they might otherwise not have experience with and since I lack carpentry experience I thought that would be the best way to go.

Please tell me you mean granite! You can cut marble with a butter knife -- it's why it's so great for sculpting.
But yeah, some people buy marble countertops... and replace them every 3-4 years as they get scratched to heck...

My limited edition steelbox version of Interspecies Reviewers just showed up yesterday after a sizeable wait.
I popped in the blu ray a few moments ago and got treated to the opening song.
They went with an in character song sung by the cast.
It is now stuck in my head.
The lyrics are so...appropriate, that I cannot find a link on YouTube at the moment.

I double checked my message and you are correct, it is granite. I don't know why my brain kept thinking it's marble. A cautionary tale about reading text messages at a stoplight I guess.

Considering the lunacy some of your clients ask you to do, real marble countertops wasn't out of the question. We got a real marble rolling pin before we knew any better. It lasted through 2-3 uses before it was ruined... I swear, marble seems like it's softer than many woods.

according to the chart if I was 170 I would simply be overweight.

Dunno if it'll make it to anime night, might be a late night watch with the boys.
The world building and focus on things indirectly related to sex are truly top notch and even inspiring, but this is very much an ecchi series(they got SUPER creative with blocking angles and coming up with alternatives for what you would normally see. I could see this not being something you want your kids to walk in on, even if nothing below the waist is seen directly.

Food sensitivities and allergic situations.
If there's a 'plus' side, it's meant an extreme reduction in the amount of soda I consume, as well as bread due to some of the ingredients that'll mess me up.

When your "game" starts to feel far more like "work", is it time to walk?
Yesterday by miracle my GM decided to let me play my character, and even gave some really sweet story development time.
Unfortunately, two of the players decided that I couldn't enjoy a pleasant gaming session, so when my character went to visit her parents, they followed her, presumably to mess up her evening. I made my Perception roll, so my character bid her parents farewell and left because I was in no mood to have my "sweet family moment" ruined by pranks.
So one of the players emailed the GM: "I want to do a full investigation of her background. What was she like as a kid? Who did she play with? What were her favorite games?"
And the GM's response? "You heard the man, NobodysHome, write it all up."
So unpleasant busywork I don't feel like doing assigned for no other purpose than to assist a player in annoying me.
Sounds like work to me...

Garlic cheesey grits are pretty awesome. Butter/cheese grits good. Both better with bloody mary after a run.
'Grats LM. Legit happy for you and happy news for internet acquaintances is a good thing for my mental health so yay.
Wife had strong chick-fil-a cravings during pregnancy. Their SW salad is decent and their shakes are pretty good. Bojangles is substantially better, IMO, but I would put CFA way ahead of Zaxby's. The few times I have eaten at Z, it goes right through me. Like I have to stop before leaving restaurant speed.
Was at 170 during Ironman training. Those days are past. I would almost be a clydesdale these days. Not quite, but getting there.

Yeah, talked to Shiro and GothBard about it, and if the two players persist next session I'll confront them and get backing from the table that they need to back off.
The body language on Sunday was that "aider and abetter" realized she'd gone too far and was really unhappy, whereas "primary instigator" needs a slap across the face with a clue stick.
And frighteningly enough, CY got my background pretty close. "Kept to herself. Read lots of books. Went on walks in the fey woods alone and never mentioned what happened there..."
